Universal renews deal with Stuber/Parent

Universal and Stuber/Parent are officially signed up again and will release Traveling with Jennifer and Aaron Eckhart in 2009.

In 2009, Universal will release at least three, if not four, Stuber-produced movies: "The Wolfman," directed by Joe Johnston and starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins; "Traveling," directed by Brandon Camp and starring Aaron Eckhart, Jennifer Aniston and Martin Sheen; and the sci-fi thriller "Repossession Mambo," starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker and directed by Miguel Sapochnik.

In an interview with Lisa Rosen at the LA Times, Jen talks about her experience on the set of Marley & Me.

"I walked onto the set and put my sweater and my bag down on the couch, and that dog leapt up onto the couch, grabbed my sweater and started ripping it," she says. The trainers responded immediately, but not as she expected. "They said, 'good, good boy!' and gave him treats." No wonder Clyde came to work every day with a big smile. "The set was a toy."

Over past few weeks there have been references to 9, 20, 22 and 27 dogs for the movie; the LA Times says 22 so I will go with that.

How did she prepare for the role?

Director David Frankel ("The Devil Wears Prada") asked her not to do anything in advance of the shoot in Miami, to just let the role unfold organically. "I said, 'You're the boss, I'm your actor, so let's go,' " says the actress, who usually works with a coach for her movies. "It was all on the page. There was really nothing to do, except be."

Well lets’ see what do we have today. Ahh Jen is pregnant, nope wrong again. The astonishing thing here isn’t how often Jen gets pregnant it’s that so many believe the announcement will come from, oh lets say, Australia.

Don’t get me wrong, nothing wrong down under, it’s just, well, if it’s not in Ok magazine I don’t believe it, after all they wouldn’t make anything up right? Right…

Item two, for which Item one has a critical dependency has Jen apparently seeing someone named John. Again, no less…

Don’t know if this one is true or not, but they have been seen together again, however I'm awaiting word out of Australia.

We will miss Paul Newman

The world of entertainment is smaller today, smaller in the sense that one of my favorite actors has passed away.

When I was 9 my father took me to see "The Hustler", he was a fan of Jackie Gleason and I was just happy to be out with my dad. At nine years old most of the movie was lost on me, it was all boring and just talk, except for the scenes when they played pool.

Fast Eddie was COOL!

Years later, perhaps not until my 30s did I actually "get" it. Bert Gordon, played by George C. Scott said it best after Fast Eddie looses to Fats:

Bert Gordon: Eddie, you're a born loser.
Fast Eddie: What's that supposed to mean?
Bert Gordon: First time in ten years I ever saw Minnesota Fats hooked... really hooked. But you let him off.
Fast Eddie: I told you I got drunk.
Bert Gordon: Sure you got drunk. You have the best excuse in the world for losing; no trouble losing when you got a good excuse.

Management Interview at the Toronto Film Festival

Jennifer takes Toronto by storm

Jen knocked it out of the park in Toronto at the premier of "Management" Sunday night.

Jennifer Aniston and Steve Zahn walked the Red Carpet at the Isabel Bader Theatre under a barrage of photographers and fans.

Jen is stunning in a Balenciaga.

Stand Up to Cancer tops $100 Million dollars.

Friday night’s Stand Up to Cancer telethon brought together over 100 celebrities from the music, film, TV and sports industries. Patrick Swayze, Christiana Applegate, and Melisa Etherege, all Cancer survivors were on hand to help with this amazing push for cooperation by researchers and other organizations. Likened to the March of Dimes founded in 1938 that stamped out polio, Stand Up to Cancer promises that:

"One hundred percent of the more than $100 million raised will go directly to funding the research programs necessary to battle this insidious disease," said Paulsen in a statement Sunday that accompanied the announcement.

Stand Up to Cancer airs this Friday September 5th at 8 PM Eastern on ABC, CBS, NBC and E! and is hosted by Charles Gibson, Katie Couric and Brian Williams.

Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Halle Berry and Jessica Alba are just some of the celebrities scheduled to attend.

Stand Up to Cancer was founded by the Entertainment Industry Foundation.

Looks like all the stories are true and it may explain why the former "Friends" star was in New York last week.

NEW YORK -- Jennifer Aniston will return home to NBC, the TV network where she became a breakout star on the hit sitcom "Friends."

She's currently filming a guest appearance on the network's "30 Rock," Aniston publicist Stephen Huvane confirmed Friday.

There were no immediate details on the role Aniston will play - as herself or a fictitious character - or the episode's planned air date

Management to be showcased at Toronto Film Festival

This year the Toronto Film Festival is showcasing 20 films and one of them will be Management with Jennifer and Steve Zahn.

Management tells the story of Mike Cranshaw ( Steve Zahn ) and Sue Claussen’s ( Jennifer Aniston ) chance meeting at the roadside motel in Arizona. Mikes pursuit of Sue is more of a disruption to Jennifer’s character but Cranshaw isn’t going to give up just because Sue is way out of his league.

Speculation will run to chaos no doubt about an encounter between Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston at the festival, but the films are in different venues so an encounter is unlikely. Not that will stop the tabloids from hawking this instead of the festival; facts are always such an inconvenience. Brad is in the Coen brothers' latest, "Burn After Reading," with George Clooney Frances McDormand, and John Malkovich and will be shown at the Roy Thomson Hall.

Management is in the Special Presentations category, which is shown at various locations around Toronto.

The festival runs from September 4 through the 13th and will show 249 feature films, 63 shorts from 64 countries including 116 world premieres

Jennifer Aniston News Update

Problem here is that there isn’t any news. Usually when this happens the tabloids fabricate some stories…Wait! This just in… Jennifer and John Mayer are getting married… no, not yet anyway OK!

And Star Magazine…no comment…

What has the actress been doing? July 31st Jennifer did a PSA for St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital according to Us Magazine.

Everyone here expected Jen and John to slip away while John is off for the next two weeks. Johns concert tour is on a short break until July 19th when he will return to the stage in Charlotte NC.

Jen has been spotted out and about in LA in the last two weeks and we have some pictures of her in the Forum, but we will most likely not see her too much until the press begins in November for Marley and Me.

It’s not true.

The woman who In Touch claimed was hit on by John Mayer – during the time he’s been linked to Jennifer Aniston – tearfully told Usmagazine.com that the story "is completely not true" and she's considering legal action against the magazine.

Here is the really bizarre thing about this though:

Jennifer in Hard Rock Calling, Hyde Park for John Mayer concert

Jennifer attended John’s concert on Saturday evening at the Hard Rock Calling, Hyde Park. This has been a whirlwind trip for Jen, she left LA last Sunday and arrived in London, stayed one day and it was off to Amsterdam on Tuesday. Then to Connemara, Ireland on Wednesday and 2 days of shooting Marley and Me returning to London on Friday for the concert.

John has 2 more concerts scheduled for this leg of his tour:

• Tonight, Saturday June 28 in London at the Hard Rock Calling, Hyde Park

and Tomorrow

• June 29 Glastonbury Festival in Pilton

Then it is off to Summerfest at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee on June 2nd

Jennifer arrives in Roundstone Connemara, Ireland on Wednesday

Jen arrives in Connemara west of Ireland on Wednesday for a few days of shooting Marley and Me. No word yet on whether Jennifer will be spending the weekend or has headed back to London. In the photo Jen is passing security at the Shannon Airport.

UPDATE:

Wilson, Aniston and crew stayed in the plush Ballynahinch Castle hotel during the shoot, which took in several locations around Connemara, including Roundstone in Co Galway.

They spent only two nights -- Wednesday and Thursday -- at the castle, with the entire cast and crew taking up 20 €600 rooms over two floors of the castle's luxury wing.

Aniston flew into Shannon Airport by private jet on Wednesday evening and was accompanied by three friends and a minder.

She was then flown by helicopter to her hotel and it is understood that she also left by helicopter yesterday morning.

Hotel staff vowed to keep a tight lid on the visit until their famous guests left, even though word of the filming had filtered out locally.

Jennifer Aniston is in Amsterdam

News reports from Amsterdam have Jen, Owen Wilson and Hugh Jackman on RTL Boulevard promoting Marley and Me at the Cinema Expo International on behalf of 20th Century Fox.

Apparently the interview was very short and Jen was only on for a second.

Our source in Amsterdam is keeping an eye on the Entertainment shows for us, so we may get more news later.

Meanwhile John Mayer is in Birmingham, UK performing at the Carling Academy and will be in Manchester at the Manchester Academy tomorrow.

The interview is with Jen, Hugh and Owen, but Jen never really gets to talk. Apparently they weren’t allowed to ask her any personal questions so they didn't ask any...

AMSTERDAM - Keanu Reeves, Owen Wilson en Jennifer Aniston will be visiting the Cinema Expo International in the RAI in Amsterdam. The actors attend the event at the invitation of Fox Film. A spokesman of the RAI confirmed the visit on monday.

The website of Amsterdam's local tv network AT5 published pictures monday of Owen Wilson riding a bike alongside the canals: Owen in Amsterdam. Whether Aniston or Reeves have arrived in the capital is unknown. According to the Daily Mail Aniston arrived sunday at London Heathrow. She'll accompany boyfriend John Mayer during a few concerts in Great-Britain.

More big names are scheduled to appear at the RAI. The spokesman couldn't confirm any names. The Cinema Expo, held this monday till friday, is an important gathering of movie- and theater exploiters. The event is taking place for the sixteenth time this year.

The spokesman of the RAI emphasizes the stars aren't in Amsterdam vacationing or doing promotion. They will be having business talks with the filmstudio.

Jennifer left LA yesterday and everyone here is speculating she is off to meet John in Den Haag for John’s concert today.

However as usual the speculation was wrong, Jen arrived in London this morning and was whisked away to parts unknown.

Tabloid Update:

An unfortunate result of Jen staying under cover is that we are left with only the Tabloids. Now there isn’t anything I like better than poking fun at the yahoos that write this crap, but I think Life and Style has had their head up someone’s ars too long and the oxygen deprivation has them hallucinating.

Latest story about Jen from these twits, is that Jen refused to be on the cover of Mari Clair for "He's Just Not That Into You" if Jennifer Connelly was included.

Ginnifer Goodwin has denied this and said it was absurd. Stephen has denied this and went on to say that in fact, Mari Clair wanted Jen alone at first. However Jen’s role is not that big to start with so it was suggested that as the lead role Ginnifer Goodwin was a must.

However in their infinite ( cash counting ) wisdom Mari Clair said yes but we only want 3 on the cover then, and Drew has to be one of them, leaving Jennifer Connelly out altogether

Here is a thought; why not have the girls on the cover of Vogue and the guys on the cover of GQ.

Marley and Me, It’s a wrap!

The Marley and Me crew completed filming at around 1 am Friday with some final shots of Owen taking Marley ( aka Rudy ) to the vet. Hundreds of fans showed up and spent most of the night in the cold watching and taking pictures.

Jen is back in LA as her part in the filming finished last week.

This has been the most fun we have had with one of Jens shoots, but we also hope we weren’t too much of a nuisance.

So to the film crew, Jen, Owen Wilson and Mr. Frankel we do apologize if we sent too many people in your way ( ahem one in particular :-)) .

But look on the bright side; we will all be at the theater opening day!

Marley and Me is currently scheduled for release Christmas Day 2008.

One of our members ( roxygr ) has snapped some amazing photographs of the Marley & Me crew setting up for filming in West Chester last night.
She also had a chance to catch Jennifer returning to her trailer during a break.

It was cold, raining miserable weather but Roxy stuck it out and shared her experience with all of us at Aniston Center.

Jennifer Aniston On the Marley and Me set in West Chester Pa. with FOX 29

The FOX 29 Good Day Philadelphia crew were up bright ( well not so bright, it was raining ) and early this morning on the Marley and Me set in West Chester.

They had a chance to talk to some of Jennifer's fans who were disappointed that Jennifer was not scheduled to be on set till later in the day.
Smartwater was on hand to give out bottled water to the fans, crew and the police.

Fans should get an opportunity to see Jennifer and Owen once the set preparations are completed and filming resumes this afternoon.

Shooting is scheduled for the rest of this week and next, then the rumor is they will be off to Ireland.

Shooting picks up again on Monday and I believe will last two more weeks.

WTXF (Fox 29)in Philadelphia has an upcoming segment in which they are looking for Jennifer fans in the Philly area for the filming of Marley and Me.

Here are the details:

Jennifer's fans can meet the FOX29 CREW in front of Kildares Restaurant in West Chester (located at 18 W Gay St, West Chester, PA 19380) at 6:45am on Tuesday May 20th.

The LIVE segments will be from 7-9am. Kildare's is the meeting spot because the filming will be happening at Wright Jewelers which is located right across the street ( and that part of the street will be blocked off)!

Smartwater is also going to be helping us out -- giving out smartwater etc.... since Jennifer is now the spokesperson for them!!!


- The segment will include live, on-air interviews with Jennifer fans, and it will air on the morning show on Tuesday, May 20th.
- Jennifer will be filming on West Gay Street in West Chester, and news crews will be on the scene during the hours of 7-9 that morning.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer in New York

Jennifer is spending her down time filming Marley and Me with John Mayer in New York city. Last night they had dinner at the Waverly Inn and while John was seen out yesterday in SoHo ( sans Jennifer ), Jennifer was out today shopping for antiques ( sans John ) at Naga Antiques.

Looks like John and Jennifer are having a blast together.

The Marley and Me crew spent yesterday and today filming with Owen Wilson and Eric Dane in Philadelphia at the Inquirer.

Jennifer has the week off while they complete the office scenes and is expected to begin shooting again Monday or Tuesday in the West Chester area of Philadelphia.
