When we last saw Rachel, she was anxiously awaiting Ross's arrival at the airport, so she could proclaim her feelings for him. Her excitement turns to horror when Ross deplanes arm-in-arm with his new girlfriend, Julie . Everyone is upset by the turn of events, and Rachel reacts by calling the Italian cad, Paolo. Meanwhile, Chandler gets cupped by Joey's tailor and Phoebe gives Monica a Dudley Moore (Not Demi, as requested)haircut. Lauren Tom guest stars.

Unexpected inheritance- Crazy Mr. Heckles dies and leaves the contents of his apartment to Monica and Rachel. As the friends sift through a black hole of worthless junk, they realize it was just his way of getting revenge. Chandler reads Mr. Heckles' yearbook and is shocked to learn that he was the class clown, and quite popular. This makes Chandler worries that he, too, will die a lonely, cantakerous grouch--so he decides to give Janice a call. Plus, Monica and Rachel argue over where to put one of Heckles' gaudy lamps (Monica thinks the trash would be appropriate).

Secrets revealed!- Old and new skeletons come out of the closet after Chandler's third nipple is revealed. Money matters- When the gang goes to dinner, things get tense because Ross, Chandler and Monica don't have the same money concerns as Joey, Phoebe and Rachel. The incident pits the "financially challenged" friends against the "more fortunates." Later, when Monica is fired and accused of accepting free steaks, she joins the ranks of the money challenged, thus restoring a majority. Meanwhile, Chandler plays along with a wrong number and winds up daing the lovelorn caller.

Baby Ben as bus bait?- When Ross is rushe to the hospital after a key lime pie allergic reaction, Joey and Chandler are left to babysit Ross's son Ben. Rachel's drunken dial- Rachel finds out that Ross and Julie have decided to get a cat, a sure sign that they're taking their relationship to the next level. That night, after many glasses of wine during a disastrous blind date, Rachel drunken dials Ross and confesses her feeling for him in a rambling message on his machine. Ross is mad Rachel waited waited so long to tell him, Rachel's mad he never told her how HE felt. The fight ends with slammed doors--and later, a passionate kiss. Meanwhile,, Joey and Phoebe date carbon copies of each other without realizing it and Monica becomes Chandler's fitness trainer.

Kiss and tell- Ross and Rachel are both still reeling from their first real kiss, but feel guilty that Julie is still in the picture. They vow to keep the kiss secret until they figure out what to do. But, um, Rachel has to tell Monica and Phoebe, and Ross confides in Joey and Chandler, so basically everyone knows except for Julie. Ross makes a pros and cons list to help decide between Julie and Rachel, but when Rachel finds the list she's enraged. Meanwhile, Monica invents "mockolate" treats.

Phoebe's dad is framed- Phoebe discovers that the man she thought was her father is really just the guy that came with the picture frames. Phoebee convinces her grandmother to tell her the truth, and then decides to confront her real father, With Joey and Chandler along for moral support, Phoebe drives upstate but can only muster enough courage to steal a reindeer from her dad's lawn. Meanwhile, Ross begs Rachel to make a list og pros and cons about him--and she happily obliges.

Joey auditions for Days Of Our Lives-- Joey is cast in play, but his horrible reviews convince him to quit showbiz for good. Before he can abandon his "art" a casting agent calls and wants him to audition for Days Of Our Lives. The casting director thinks Joey is hot and wants to sleep with him, But Joey refuses to sacrifice his dignity for a role. he gets a call back, and even without a trip to the casting couch he lands the role of Dr. Drake Ramoray. Monica starts dating Fun Bobby (Vincent Ventresca) again; while Rachel dates a Ross clone named Russ.

Carol and Susan tie the knot- On the eve of her wedding to her lesbian partner, Carol seeks Ross' advice when she gets cold feet. Rachel, meanwhile, gets a tattoo.

Joey and Chandler break up- Joey moves into his own apartment, but by the time he realizes he misses Chandler, Chandler has already got a new roomie, Eddie (Adam Goldberg). At Central Perk, a record producer offers to make a video of Poebe's song "Smelly Cat," but the result isn't music to Phoebe's ears.

Synopsis: Single, white male- Chandler's new roommate, Eddie (Adam Goldberg), turns out to be a total lunatic obsessed with Chandler's life. Lucky for Chandler--not so much for Joey--Joey's character on Days On Our Lives is abruptly killed off after Joey makes inappropriate remarks in a fan magazine. Across the hall, Monica and Richard (Tom Selleck) quarrel, as do Rachel and Ross. When the couples finally prepare to "make up," Monica and Rachel must fight over the last condom.

A farewell to Days- After being fired from his dream job on Days Of Our Lives, Joey faces the financial reality of his huge credit card debt and his expensive new apartment. Chandler is trying to help by kicking out his psycho new roommate, Eddie--but Eddie refuses to leave. Chandler decides to play by Eddie's rules, so he changes the locks then denis ever having met Eddie--which oddly enough, works. Monica, Phoebe and Rachel become fired up by the feminist book "Be Your Own Windkeeper."

Phoebe grows up- Phoebe is shocked to discover that endings of all her favorite childhood movies were not as happy as she was led to believe. Her mother, in an effort to preserve Phoebe's innocence, would never let her watch the endings of films like E.T., Old Yeller, and Rocky. Meanwhile, Rachel is unnerved when she realizes Ross has their entire future mapped out, including their kids. And Monica encourages Joey and Chandler to hang out with richard (Tom Selleck), but then is upset when Richard stops acting his age.

# 221 The One With The Bullies

Dog day afternoon- Phoebe finally gets the courage to go see her dad again, but runs over the family dog when she gets there. After rushing the dog to the vet, she's forced to knock on father's door to return the hurt animal. however, her stepmom informs her that Phoebe's dad skipped out on yet enother family. Phoebe is disappointed, but also excited to learn that she has a half-brother. Back at Central Perk, Chandler and Joey confront two bullies (Peter DeLuise, Nicky katt) who won't budge from the coffeehouse couch. Monica losses her shirt in the stock market and it relegated to a singing waitress/chef job.

# 222 The One With Two Parties

Surprise! It's a birthday double-header- Monica fights with the guys over whether to throw Rachel a sophisticated birthday soiree or a pizza and beer style rager. With Rachel's parents embroiled in a nasty divorce, Monica invites Mrs. Green (Marlo Thomas) but not Mr. Green (Ron Liebman). When Mr. Green shows up anyways, the boys create a second pizza and beer party across the hall to keep the Green's seperated and salvage the "happy" in Rachel's birthday celebration. With Monica's party growing increasingly more boring, Phoebe starts "smuggling" guests across the hall when she's not looking.

Charlie Sheen stars- Phoebe's two weeks of romance with her old flame, Ryan (Charlie Sheen) is foiled when she contracts the chicken pox the night before his arrival. Ryan scores major points when he declares he'd rather catch the pox than spend another moment apart from Phoebe. At Chandler's office, Joey begins a temporary gig as "Joseph the office guy" and makes up a fake history for himself. "Joseph," and his incessant sucking up, drives Chandler to threaten to sleep with Joseph's "wife" if he doesn't quit.
