| You're right, we did have the deleted scenes but since Jen was not in them, I forgot about it until you mentioned it. It still left me wanting a lot more. The making of was the same one we had on that channel I mentioned, so it was not new for us. No commentary from even the director and that's what I usually like to watch. |

| Yeah I was quite disapointed that we didnt get anything as far as extra's go on this DVD. The only extra scene with Jen was a bit more of the pre-rape scene in the hotel room with Clive. I have to say that was a nice shot of Clives little tighty whities though....lol. On a total off topic note though, working in a hotel I was quite shocked that the hotel clerk didnt get a name, no regestration card filled out no nothing, & if I were to look at a guest & just say "Its that way" refering to the location of thier room.....OMG I would be SHOT......lol & MAN the condition of that Hotel room ....... I would be ashamed to rent someone a room that looked like that......lol (sorry its my 7 yrs of housekeeping & 11 yrs on front desk coming out in me) |

guess they wanted it to look like a really sleazy , rundown hotel ..to make what happens there more believable , right ....i mean which self respecting hotel would let a robber get in ..lol |

I just have to bop in and say, I'm currently obsessing over pics of Jen when her hair was dark for this movie. She looks soooo good with dark hair. |

I loved the darker hair. I think it made her eyes glow more. |

I bought the dvd on Monday and watched it. It's a fine movie and you can add me to the list of people who don't agree with the bad press. I'm sticking to it; it was the way and the time it was promoted. The best thing about the movie for me was (besides her dark hair ) the fact that I really noticed how subtle of an actor she is. It amazed me. Especially in the hotel scene, right before they're starting to make out, the way she was giving him all those looks, awesome. So, nice movie but nothing has beaten The Good Girl yet. (I haven't seen Friends with Money and The Break-Up yet!) |

| Yeah, she really is fantastic in that scene. As you said, it's the subtle stuff, such as the way that she looked at Clive and the way that she glanced down the hall before entering the room. It's not said nearly enough how great and real she is at that sort of thing. |

I've seen them all, and I was waiting until I saw FWM before I made my final choice. First place is still deffinately The Good Girl, and second place is TBU. I thought those 2 outshined the rest. BUT FWM and Derailed ranked somewhere in the 3rd and 4th spots because I love her dramatic acting.. it was more the scripts I found boring. |

her style of acting is great ...but one thing i noticed is that she is always down to earth in the way she approaches the role ..which is why a lot of people mistakenly assume that she is playing the same role in all her movies ...i also think actors interpret and act the same kind of role in different ways ...for example , even when jen plays a negative character (Lucinda) or a character who is doing some negative deeds ( justine) ..we always get the impression that this is basically a good person who is doing some bad deeds because of circumstances ...her innate goodness comes out no matter what ...its like some actresses could be playing a nun but still come out vampish lol |

My mum loved Derailed. I was so surprised. She saw it on the plane on the way to maritius (yeah she takes my lil sister to Mauritius, Dubai and Sri Lanka, geeze) and called me and is like, 'have you seen Derailed? I loved it.'
Just thought i'd share. Definitely not the kinda film i'd expect her to like. |
