Jennifer Aniston is about to get "Derailed." The actress will star opposite Clive Owen in the Miramax Films feature based on James Siegel's best-selling novel. Lorenzo di Bonaventura produces. The film will mark Academy Award winner Mikael Hafstrom's English-language directorial debut. Based on a script by "Collateral" scribe Stuart Beattie, "Derailed" revolves around a married advertising executive whose life takes an unpredictable turn when he misses his train to work. Production is scheduled to begin in the fall in London and Chicago. Executive vp production Jon Gordon and senior vp creative affairs Jennifer Wachtell will oversee the production on behalf of Miramax. The deal was negotiated for Miramax by executive vp business affairs Steve Hutensky and senior vp business and legal affairs Barry Littman. CAA negotiated on behalf of Aniston.
I'm torn. Its great she's getting so many movies - esp for Miramax. I just thought she and Brad would try for kids right after Friends and it looks like that's not in their (or at least her) plans yet. Its kind of a bummer. I hope they don't wait too long. |

| Hmmm, sounds a bit like Sliding Doors (not that that's a bad thing, I liked it). It's weird, though, we're hearing about so many movies that she's attached to (Diary, Gambit, the war photographer movie); do you think that she's really going to do all of them? |

Thanks eponine. But, is the Hollywood reporter really that reliable? I don't know...she's been attached to so many movies that never actually happened.
And, Brad and Jen have made it clear how much they want children. You keep going on about how you don't think they want kids just cos she's working, but since when has it been wrong to work when your pregnant? This is the 21st centuty, things are different. I personally think it's great she's doing movies now. No one knows how long it's going to take them to conceive, and once she does, there's no reason why she can't work while carrying a baby. |

The Hollywood Reporter is VERY reliable. It's kind of like another Variety magazine.
BTW, I totally agree that she could work while pregnant and after she has a baby. Look at Reese Witherspoon - they wrote her pregnancy into her latest movie. I just remember Jennifer saying somewhere, I forget where, that she didn't want to do that. She pretty much said she wanted to clear her schedule for kids. That's what makes me wonder if she's changed her mind about kids. Obviously its her and Brad's business and choice, it's just kind of a bummer. |

I wish its true... another movie is not much for her that loves doing what she does and as Kirsty said whats the matter of she carrying a baby and working at same time? I really never thought she was those kind of girls that stop everything when get pregnant. I know she will want to spend most time with the baby but its no reason she stops everything. I know there has lot of 'coming up' projects for her that we have no idea if its true or not, but alll them are welcomed and im sure shes able to do all even being pregnant. |

| I've never read the book Derailed but from what I gather it's about a man who has an affair one night with a woman, and during that night some creep breaks into the hotel room and rapes the woman. The creep then proceeds to blackmail the guy. Gosh, would Jen be playing a rape scene? |

| Yeah i saw this same story on the Entertainment Tonight website which is pretty reliable and from what was said about the book it sounds like it will be a pretty dark and dramatic film but of course Jen is an amazing actress and can do anything. I also think that Jen can work while she is pregnant, a lot of actress do that these days and it isn't a problem. |

| Great news! I hope this is true because Miramax are like HBO of the world of television. If she does this movie, I hope she'll nail her part and finally get recognize how great of an actress she is. I'm going to read the book just to prepare for the movie. I saw it on ET just a few hours ago. The leading man is good looking. Let's see how this new project works out. |
