Agree with you guys. Especially now that Jen's rep talked about it again. And I don't know if that is stupid but I really think the information would be "Meryl is no longer attached". But "backed out"? This came from the speculation on the IMDB forum. Anyway, this movie sounds really good.

Kathy is right, anybody can put anything up there, except for the credits themselves. I'll use my own page as an example; my date and place of birth and height were up the day after I submitted them, but my TBU credit never appeared because unless it's in the official studio credits, it's hard to provide sufficient verification to alter the credits. Not impossible; I'm sure that I could have somehow sent them a screencap or scan of my paperwork, even though the submission form doesn't really provide for that. My point, rambling though it may be, is that the "Streep backed out" comment could have been posted by anybody, and with very transparent motives, might I add. But the credit listing has not changed, and that's what has to be verified very thoroughly.

I agree apothecary06. I see no reason why the "backed out" rumour would be true. I am hoping that this movie gets made sometime soon....why I am I thinking it will this summer? *keeps fingers crossed*

To the best of my recall it wasn't stated as of the GLAAD awards b/c Jen seemed to be flattered and didn't wish to elaborate on the plans. But there was no mention of Meryl not being in it.

boy have you got that right the unfortunate assumptions are already out there.

No, no mention on start date.



There has been talk for a few months on a strike in the industry. I have read a few articles on it but another was posted on VV.com that actually gives a date. If the strike happens Jennifer has about a year to squeeze in whatever movies she wants to do. They calculated that a major star could do about 2 movies before the strike happens. She has to be shooting something real soon. Doubt if its this one as Meryl is booked and she is still attached.
