Getting rid of Matthew I would like to see on film. I just love the chick-lit books that take place in England. They are very different and Jen with a Brittish accent? Not to sure about that!

I also would love to see The Divorce Party happen. laayla

I'd be interested to see that. She hasn't done a role in a British accent, but we don't know that she can't, and I optimistically think that she just might be able to pull that off! We'll see how it all plays out laayla

Oh yeah, now I remember that! Somehow I don't think that the accent that she'd use in this role would be quite the same as the one she had in that skit, though - both British, yes, but I feel like Helen's accent would be a bit less street urchin, lol laayla

Jenforever wants to know how the Pitt name comes up in the Getting rid of Matthew. The answer doesn't give anything away from the story, so don't be afraid reading this will spoil anything.

The lead character Helen befriends Matthew's ex-wife Sophie in the hope she will take him back. Of course Helen can't use her own name so she uses an alias, 'Eleanor Pitt', in honour of Brad who she just saw on the cover of a magazine.

Now I could see the humor of sticking with the story and just use the name in the movie. I even think Aniston could see the humor of it, but somehow I think the press would have a field day.

The story is universal so would work just as well if situated in the US. Don't know 'bout Jen doing a English accent. Becomes a bit of a gimmick for Amercian actors to have a go at this.

Thanks for sharing that.

All these movies are in very early stages so I guess we'll see what happens. I hope some of these projects get rolling soon.

I just finished reading Getting Rid of Matthew - it would translate perfectly to the big screen and Jen would be soooo great as Helen. Crossing all fingers that this one happens. I wondered about the Pitt thing to - perhaps they'll use Clooney - lol!!!

See, I doubt that all these movies are in the early stages.

For some reason, American actors doing a British accent is pretty much a comedy thing to me. Hard to take seriously.

Should they change it, it might be Clooney indeed.

I dont think theyre all in the early stages either. In fact, in an interview in Toronto, when Jennifer was talking about her production company she said.

Quote:
We have six amazing projects, two that were really close [on], one at Dreamworks and one, a couple, at Universal.

That video is posted on Management thread.

I did see the video but she didn't eloborate much on it. We still don't know as to what stages they are at. I'm sure we'll hear about them once the casting and all is finalized.

Regarding the Pitt thing , well it seems like a minor detail to me but then again I haven't read that book.

I read Getting Rid of Matthew and I totally think Courtney Cox would be perfect to play Sophie, and it would be cool to have them working together again.

Thanks for that, I was curious as well. Renee Zelweeger (sp?) pulled off a British accent quite nicely I thought. It was kind of suprising to me, since I don't think of many actresses as being good at it. My point is, don't underestimate Jen! laayla She's really good at Southern accents, so she's probably more versatile than we think.
