That's an interesting thought! I actually pictured Catherine Keener as Sophie, but now that you mention it, Courteney would be good in the part.

We now know of Pumas, the female version of The Wedding Crashers, and that it's the project that is closest to getting released. I am already in love with the project and very curious about the result.

But it is a third project, Pumas, that is the furthest alongand the most telling about Aniston's state of mind these days. It is a film about older women dating younger men that Hahn describes as a "high-octane comedy about sexual politics and double standards." Aniston's description is both funnier and cruder: "It's sort of a female Wedding Crashers. It's about these girls who aspire to become cougars. They just paaarty! Young party girls who just find hot young guys to play with and then dump them. Why can't women do it?" At a time when Hollywood is obsessed with the Judd Apatow version of the infantile, directionless 40-year-old man, it is a tantalizing notion. Aniston, after all, has trained with the Big Boysas David Frankel says, "What she does so brilliantly is play great tennis with the big stars of our day: Ben Stiller, Jim Carrey, Vince Vaughn." Why couldn't she create an alternative by having fun with female stereotypesnot to mention provide another option than the Carrie Bradshaw model she so detests?

I think her and Courteney are on too something. lol Wonder if she plans to act in this or just produce. I'm sad that it looks like Wanted and Senator's Wife will never see the light of day.

I don't care what she makes, I'm just glad that she has all these projects in the works.

Pumas sounds like its going to be good. Getting rid of Matthew also laayla Courtney would be great in that!

I'm reading the book right now (started last night, now I'm two thirds into it) and loving it so much! It's so funny and it's wonderful how you can relate to both Helen and Sophie, they're very layered.

For some reason I thought of Kate Walsh for Sophie, but Courteney is a very interesting choice!

Since The Break-Up, under the auspices of her newly formed production company, Echo Films, Aniston has thrown herself into developing a range of projects that seem designed to upend audience expectations, including a biopic about the first woman tenured in psychology at Harvard and another true story about an all-female country & western band that formed in a Texas prison. But of course, what she would really like to do is direct. She already has a particular project in mind: "It's about schizophrenia, a woman who overcame the odds against her that's all I'm going to say." Would she also star in it? "Oh, no, that sounds like torture," she says, laughing. "I'd never get myself out of the trailer."
It definitely sounds interesting. Do we know about the first woman that tenured in psychology at Harvard? If so, it seemed to have slipped my mind. Anyone know?

well in that case, I too hope she stars in Counter Clockwise

I love how excited she seems to be about this one. Anyone who wants to guess just how far along this project is?

I think they will be filming it by the end of 2009, it's the project she has been talking the most lately.

I think so too - and she seems so excited about it! That makes me excited, to know that she's working on something that she loves.
