They take all of it into consideration..
That is why she has Huvane and the studio has their poeple and I suppose Vince has his.
They want to gave this movie the best advantage it can get, which means they will attempt to package it the best way also. They don't want the movies premiere to be overshadowed by another event which I won't talk about.
I'm sure they have already gone thru who is going to do what press, what type of questions they are willing to answer and what they are not. About their relationship and I'm sure about the other people and the child on it's way. Either they will take a no personal question stand across the board or they will limit the personal stuff to only certain topics.
The name of this movie is The BreakUP and the press will attempt to tie that into Jen's personal breakup at the time. And her unconfirmed relationship with Vince which came about because of the movie.
She won't just go and do these interviews and not be prepared and not have her PR guy set up some guidelines. She is going to go out their and project a certain image that will help sell her movie. |

I said this in another post; this has to be madding for both of them. As much as they want to put all of the old relationship stuff behind them circumstanced dictate that they can�t. So they have to spend time �rehearsing� what to say if this B question is asked or this A question. And then have to try and anticipate the questions about the current way of things. Glad I don�t have to do this I would be a nervous wreck in no time.
I�m sure Steven and whomever Vince uses will be earning their keep over the next 5 or 6 weeks. Who knows they may take a stricter stand than they have in the past with the rules of engagement. Things like the Jill what�s her name interview will simply not be tolerated. |

See, I think they should do the total opposite. If I were their publicist, I would tell them to go out there and have fun. Be themselves, joke around and be relaxed around each other. Basically the anti B&A. I find it annoying that if everyone knows you are together, you are going to act more uptight then most co stars do. Jen and Vince should do some press together, just like all co stars do. Maybe do Larry King or Oprah, Primetime Live, whatever. Vince is known for being funny and quick witted. I think stiffiling that would be a mistake. Same thing for Jen: She was great on Leno and Ellen, joking around and not taking things seriously. I'm not saying there aren't questinons that wouldn't be off limits, like don't ask Jen about Vince's "measurements" (even though, I must admit, I for one am curious  ) but she could certainly talk about what she thinks of him, professionally and as a person. Sorry for the rant but I do hope they take this approach because it would be refresghing. I would love for them to handle themselves the way Heath Ledger and his wife do. Just be real and that will ensure people go see them because they seem to be funny and relaxed. |

| I know, I would like to see them do that as much as you. I'm just not sure they can. They could do it on Leno, Oprah or Ellen for sure and just thinking about it is exciting. But Larry King and any one of the other major news outlets are going to treat them as news. I don't know, with both of them together maybe they could pull it off, but really is it a risk you would be willing to take? |

| I think if they show up on Larry King they will go there to talk about the movie, I never seen he ask about a relationship that they never confirmed, but I'm not sure... |

I don't think Jen will be going back to Larry King any time soon (if ever).
I also don't really see Jen and Vince doing a joint interview on any "news" show (or talk show for that matter). I don't think they'll be avoiding each other on the red carpet and I do believe they will pose together. I think the premiere will be a happy, light, fun-filled event and they will both shine. Speaking about each other to an enterviewer with the other right next to them...I don't see it happening. |

Well i dont see them doing like and Oprah type shows anytime soon but maybe the entertainment shows together. They are the stars of the movie and who says they cant do joint interviews? Sit-down, in-depth interviews no, but light-hearted short interviews yes.
And yeah I dont see her doing Larry King ever again. That wasnt an interview that was more like a interrogation. |

See I see this is a middle of the road kind of deal for them. On one hand Jen has learned the hard way to keep her personal life personal. Vince has always kept his personal life personal. But because of who they are how they met and the sick twisted triangle the media have put them in there personal life is front and center. If they avoid the personal questions the media/tabloids will speculate about there relationship till the cows grow wings and fly to the moon. If they talk about there personal life they let the media/tabloids in the house and like flys in the summer they are hard to get out.
So I think they should do all there interviews seprate, when asked about each other say something that is nice and sweet but leave the L word out of it. I think they should do either one or two things, a rolling stone cover and interview togther or a SNL togther like ashton and demi did. Something where they can make light of or even poke fun of the abosurb media/tabloid attention they have gotten over the last year.
Open the door a crack, but leave the screen door closed so they can look in real quick, but can't get in and drive them nuts.
If that makes any sense at all. |

It will be in their best interest to avoid joint interview because every move and body language will be scrutinzed. It's a no win situation and i think Vince is probably best equipped to handle this than Jen because he's a comedian and even though he is with her, he is really not a big part of the triangle.
Jen is not really that good at hiding her expression and body language, sh etends to tense up before a questyion is asked becuase i think she's always expecting the B question. I also think the reviews of their chemistry from the movie wil either break or make the movie and their interviews. It's just very dicey trying to determine how much to say or even to say anything at all about their personal relationship. |

That's what I'd like to see as well. Michelle and Heath found love on their movie set, got pregnant, had a baby and they managed to deal with the press, and doing joint interviews and it was fine. Although neither of them are in the spotlight as much as Jen/Vince, but still. I know it wont happen, but it would be nice to see them conducting it the way Heath and Michelle did. FYI, Heath and Michelle arent husband and wife yet, as far as I know.
Jennifer's done joint interviews with her other costars, Shirley McClaine, Clive, the woman from FWM. But I'm sure they dont want people saying they're using their relationship as press for the movie. It's tricky situation. I think a big mistake would be for them to walk the red carpet separately, because everyone knows they're a couple, that's going to invite more speculation about the state of their relationship. Walk together, dont interview together if that's not what you want to do. |

I would also love for Jen and Vince to be more open about their relationship. Everyone knows they're together and it would be nice to see them walking the red carpet with each other and talking about each other on tv shows and in interviews.
But i think Jen has been so burned in the past it's like she's scared to say anything now incase the press use it against her. And i don't blame her for that. The way she was treated by the media after her divorce was appalling and she was probably really hurt by what was said.
The difference with Michelle and Heath is that they're no where near the level of fame that Jen has. They have a lot more privacy and every little thing they say is not jumped on and constantly used against them years after they said it.
No mater what Jen says or does it's always going to be wrong in the media. They still refuse to let the association with Brad go and that more than anything is responsible for dragging things up again and again. If she wears black it's becasue she's not over him, if she and Vince gets married it's to beat the other couple to it, if she's talking about a baby it somehow again goes back to him. And that needs to stop.
I'm hoping after TBU she'll become more relaxed and more revealing. If not we just have to accept that's what she wants and be happy with it. It's sad becasue she always seemed to happy and chilled in interviews, now it's like she's constantly on guard and worried incase she says anything that the media can jump on. |

I think they need to throw the rulebook out on this one. They really can�t do this the same as others because Jens situation is unique. There is no way around the fact that no matter what they do the tabloids and the mainstream media will spin whatever they do to maximize their own self interest ( money and ratings ) without the slightest interest in how it affects Jen, Vince or the movie. They have to use this to their advantage some how.
I think that we are sort of a microcosm of what is happening, I think all eyes in Hollywood and the �business� are watching and wondering the same thing we are, �what are they going to do�.
Every scenario we have talked about has good and bad aspects; an up side for this reason and a down side for that.
I hate to say it because it will grate on some, but they need to do a Mr. And Mrs. Smith, without it looking like that�s what they are doing, in fact they may have already done this with the re-shooting the ending stuff: just like they did with the hot and steamy too hot to handle press for MMS. They have to make the promotion for this hot, they can�t do this in a half-assed way. Basically what I�m saying is they have to pull out the stops, damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead, and go for broke. I haven�t a clue as to how they should do this, but that�s what I think they should do.
Good god I�m thinking about this way too much... |

I posted this in the Gossip thread but maybe it's better here.
I totally agree with Erin, I don't like the way everyone is saying they should do like this or like those persons, they're both adults and pretty savy about all of this, can't we just trust that they'll do what's right for them. |

I don't know Audrey, I think Jen and her people are always interested in how the fans feel about what they are doing. Yeah sure it's just speculation and a bit of fun, but I don't think it's disrespectful or presumptuous on our part. |
