| Kathy pointed out that Gambit was added back to her IMDB profile as a possible project. Maybe this was one of the projects she was talking about being on the back burner. I dunno IMDB is not the most reliable. I think I was a little excited about this back when she was rumored to do it, but to me it sounds like a different version of the Ocean movies. |

I swear, don't get our hopes up about this one again or I'll find a way to shut down imdb.com; ... no, it's a nice site for older movies.
Was it Ben Kingsley who was rumored to be her co-star back then? |

I still check the dreaded IMDB board daily. Gambit has reappeared on her list of movies. It has been gone for a LONG time. Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley are still attached. It just surprised me to see it this morning- it wasn't there yesterday. That's why I mentioned it. I adore Colin Firth-so cute!!!! Loved him in the Bridget movies. |

This is from the IMDB board:
Plot Summary for
Gambit (2006)
Harry Dean's plan to steal a statue from one of the world's richest men is missing one final component -- the participation of a beautiful woman to act as his gambit. In Nicole, he meets someone who appears to be the perfect candidate, but Harry himself becomes enraptured with her, causing his plan to take a series of wrong turns. |

| Hmm it sounds interesting! I wonder if it would be dramatic or comedic? Maybe both? |

From what I've read it would be a combination of both. |

Ocean's 11 in a way, sorry. plan a hiest, girl gets in the way starts to focus on the girl and slips up a little, incorporates it into the heist to get both. |

Shes been added then taken off but shes been added again but as (rumoured) so its not been confirmed like the other three. Though her and Coling Firth would be great together apparently there is going to be some romance there.
I don't think she'll be playing the part of Shirly McLaine I think that girl from the Cosby show is playing that part as she has just signed up could be wrong though. |

JENNIFER ANISTON
Sure, she'd been in some pretty successful feature comedies in the past, including "Bruce Almighty" (aka "that Jim Carrey film") and "Along Came Polly" ("that Ben Stiller movie"). Somehow, though, in "The Break-Up" -- which earned Universal more than $118 million in domestic box office -- her appeal was at least on par with co-star Vince Vaughn. Now set to star in Joel and Ethan Coen's upcoming comedy heist pic "The Gambit," Aniston has transformed herself into perhaps the top female feature comedy star.
POV: "She has a unique physicality to her," says producer Stacey Sher, who worked with Aniston on "Along Came Polly." "Take her talent for screwball comedy, in the tradition of a Lucille Ball, coupled with how adorable and gorgeous she is, (and that makes for) an irresistible combination. You don't see that often."
IF you like comedy in general here is a link to the whole list

A Coen brothers movie?
Jen HAS to sign up for this. The premise sounds great too. |

I was just browsing on IMDB and I noticed that Gambit is still in Jen's Filmography list as Rumored but it was updated last week and the date has been changed to 2009 now.
I think it originally said 2007. |
