Found this a little while ago on Google ...From one of the reviewers at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
Room 10 (USA. Jennifer Aniston and Andrea Buchanan. 20 mins.)
Sitcom and film star Aniston and co-director Buchanan have chosen a simple story, that of an emergency room nurse (Robin Wright Penn) who works long hours to avoid her own failing relationship. She is changed in one night by a man who witnesses his wifes death (Kris Kristoferson) and advises that the key to success in marriage is staying in the room. Penn and Kristoferson are a delight together, elevating the material to a lovely, believeable level. |

| Weren't the three short films supposed to be in an issue of Glamour some day? Or did I imagine that? |

| Nope no imagining...that's what they said but they never put them in an issue. I think it was supposed to be in the December of 06' issue. |

| I guess it has to do with money. Since at least one short film was/is pretty successful, they might be able to get some money off of it. I don't know, I just think it's disappointing that it wasn't released (so far). |

I don't think money is an issue. Glamour Reel has sufficient fonds. It probably has more to do with the ability of the movie to win awards. For instance, the Acadamy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has a rule that if a film, both feature and short, is released for the first time in any manner other than a theatrical release, the film wont be eligible for an oscar. In Room 10s case this is probably what caused the webrelease to be pushed back to march.
Maybe Glamour had hopes for this movie. Prestige is, in some cases, worth more than money. |

| I didn't know that either. Thanks for the info. I think nominations for the oscars are going to be announced January 22, 2008. I hope this short gets nominated. |

While Room 10 did not win, it was among the 9 finalists. Full article is linked below:

Fourth Annual No Spot Winners Announced

Though there were only three winners, all nine finalists looked great on the big screen. From the darkly funny animation of Luis Cook's Pearce Sisters, to Kylie Matulick and Todd Mueller's whimsical Inside the Happiness Factory documentary to the more somber Room 10, directed by Jennifer Aniston and Andrea Buchanan and starring Robin Wright Penn and Kris Kristofferson, the films ran the spectrum of emotions and moods. Still, between the films, the booze, the candy and the camaraderie, attendees all left with a smile.

Anybody here live in New Orleans- it's showing this weekend at the Film Festival....Love what they said about Andrea's and Jennifer's Room 10!!!
Health center benefits from film fest
Couple hopes event will recur annually Monday, November 12, 2007By Leslie Williams
A month after Hurricane Katrina and water from broken levees battered New Orleans, Tulane Medical Center residents provided free health care on the sidewalk in front of Covenant House in Treme with card tables and coolers full of vaccines. Since then, the Tulane Community Health Center has grown, leasing a building in the Covenant House.
The center, which provides primary care for the uninsured, manages more than 60 patient visits a day, compared with about 40 last year.
It's the sort of post-Katrina story that easily might be translated into a short film, the sort that would fit into the format of the first Big Easy Shorts Festival -- a collection of 59 short films that will be shown at the Canal Place Cinema beginning Friday. The three-day festival, though, will not feature any films about that noble effort. Instead, it will help finance the center.
"All proceeds from ticket sales will be given to the health center," said Laura Martone, a part-time resident of a husband-and-wife team launching what they hope will become an annual event.
"A few months after Katrina, we were trying to figure out what we could do to help the city," Martone said. "In the spring of '06 we decided on a charity film festival."
Laura and Daniel Martone already had experience with their Beverly Hills Shorts Festival, which is in its third year. And the couple has become familiar with the city and some of its philanthropic organizations. In addition to their home in northern Michigan, the Martones have apartments in Los Angeles and the French Quarter, residing here in the spring and fall.
The money from the sale of $10 tickets to the festival -- featuring documentaries, comedies, dramas, experimental films, animation and musical videos -- most likely will be used to finance vaccinations, said Leah Berger, director of operations for the Tulane Community Health Center.
"I think it's wonderful," said Berger. "Vaccinations are among our biggest costs. It makes our job easier. Preventative medicine keeps people out of the hospital."
Of the 59 films -- ranging in length from eight to 47 minutes -- eight were created by Louisiana filmmakers, Martone said.
"By donating proceeds from the festival . . ., the Martones have helped support both homeless teens needing medical attention and advocates fighting for recovery dollars for this area," said Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu, whose office has promoted the development of entertainment in the state. "But bringing this film festival to New Orleans has an additional benefit. As Louisiana's film production grows to a billion-dollar business, film festivals are a natural way for us to capitalize on our strengths and create jobs and economic opportunities for all of our citizens."
Martone tagged "Room 10," directed by Jennifer Aniston and Andrea Buchanan, as her favorite drama among the offerings in the Big Easy Shorts Festival and "A Driving Lesson" from May Sky Entertainment as her favorite comedy. The film list can be found at www.bigeasyshortsfestival.com.
A party to celebrate the opening of the festival will benefit the Friends of New Orleans, a nonprofit group that seeks to educate the world about problems in the region resulting from Katrina and broken levees.
The party will be at Harrah's Casino Theater on Thursday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. |

| I don't live in New Orleans but would "sacrifice" and fly down if I could. It's one of my favorite cities in the world. Thanks for posting this, Kathy. |

| I think it's great that a year later Room 10 is still getting positive reviews. Anyone think she could be up for some awards as that season comes near? |
