So do I. I have a feeling this is going to be well received.
I wish I could watch it. I've seen the trailer and it seems great, different for Court compared to her Friends days |

| Two of my favorite shows are on FX (Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me) so I'm hoping to make it three with Dirt and it will be as edgy as those. |

This starts tomorrow night, right?!
I wish it was on earlier! I'm usually in bed by 10:00, 10:15 on weeknights. I'll have to record it! |

Courteney-Online.com has a nice section dedicated to Dirt: THE DIRT ON DIRT |

Well the premier show was great. Very slick ( expensive ) production, but they all need to settle into their parts. Courtney ( Janis Min ??? ) is terrific.
One thing I didnt like is the main characters remorse for some of their actions. I dont think anyone in that business gives a hoot for anyone. They should be portrayed as the worst sort of selfish and ruthless people that are proud of themselves for being scum. And at the same time they need to balance the fact that all of the paparazzi are not schizoid pawns being lead around by a ruthless editor. Not all of the editors are vindictive spoiled children a.k.a. US Weekly.
This show has tremendous possibilities with an almost limitless supply of material. I hope FX will allow them the freedom they will need to pull this off.
They have a great web site:

I liked it also. So shows are allowed to do more on FX than other stations? Its rated TV-MA for those who might want to see it just to let you know.
I do not know obviously what occurs behind the scenes of tabloid magazines, but I thought some of the scenarios were more than they would have been in real life to make for good tv. I probably am wrong though. I like the very dark feel to the show though and it is very different from Friends. Not bad at all. Bill you think she was portraying Janice Min . Maybe. So I wonder if every week there will be new "celebrities" who are the focus or if the story lines will just continue. I also agree that it would have been better if the characters showed no remorse or even thought a little bad about what they did, because they really do not. Maybe they are trying to show that Tabloid editors and paparazzi have a heart too, but why would they want to show that lol |

Actually I thought it was understated rather than over stated. Sure the car crash was a little much, but the idea of the betrayal; everyone betraying everyone to either get their shot or hold onto it and the tabloid business playing both sides against the middle is IMO right on the mark. The business of Hollywood is more like (edit ) Sunset Strip at 3 am than the Red Carpet dream they sell.
As to Min, she was just the first one that came to mind, Im sure its a composite but I wouldnt be surprised if Min was the archetype |

| I didn't love it; however, I very, very rarely love a show after the first viewing. The trick with me is to get me interested enough to tune in again and give it another try. I find the premise to be very interesting, but like Bill said, they all do need to settle into their parts. This was just the pilot so I'm going to do my best to tune in again next week. |
