Well here is a surprise, from the Harpers Bizarre article:
Then, she tells Harper's, what she'd really like to do is work on her "labor of love," Goree Girls, which is the story of a 1940s female country band that started in prison. "Yep. I can carry a tune, and I was known to throw out a jazz hand from time to time in high school," she says.

| well, if she can sing I wonder if she is going to star in it instead of just producing it. |

| I think it definitely sounds like she is going to be the star of the movie not just the producer! Who knows maybe she'll even direct too :) |

| I love romantic comedies but I really wanted Jen to win an Oscar. But the Academy likes drama and I think this is a god film for Jen to win the statue. |

In Oscars it will took a good director and a good writer that the good performances of actors will be acknowledged. Let us say a Coen brothers directing and writing for her, or a true to life story Dick Chapelle project, or Goree girls with David Fincher to direct maybe. I don't know.
But it does not matter graca, she is already blessed with wealth and fame.
If you won an Oscar it is like winning in a Lottery or a Jackpot in the casino. Some will win the Oscar then they will suddenly increase their talent fees, if unknown they will garner popularity just like other celebrities have. And our girl is already at the peak of being famous around the world.
And we just love her for being herself. For us, in our hearts and minds, she is already the best and she (Jennifer) do not need a trophy to prove that.

I realize it says "A Big Maybe", but it sure is nice to see someone talking about Goiree Girls. Excerpts below.

Film production in Central Texas heats up
By Chris Garcia
Quote: AMERICAN-STATESMAN FILM WRITER
Thursday, April 24, 2008
As Matt Dentler, or any trend-spotter, could tell you, the local film industry isn't what it used to be. 2007 saw a modest 15 television and film projects shot here, compared with 27 the year before and 33 in 2004. But the city still has muscle and proves consistently attractive to filmmakers inside and outside Texas.
Here's a rundown of recently wrapped, currently shooting and upcoming feature film productions in the area (expect 2009 release dates for all of them):
Quote: 'The Goree Girls' A big maybe. DreamWorks is producing an adaptation of Skip Hollandsworth's Texas Monthly article about a falsely convicted woman who forms an all-female band in a Texas prison. Jennifer Aniston could star, and Texas writer-director John Lee Hancock ('The Alamo') is rewriting Margaret Nagle's script. 'We sure hope it happens,' Hudgins says.

This was in the NYTimes, and they actually have credits for the screenplay!
Quote: Jennifer Aniston produced this fact-based period musical set in the 1940s and detailing the formation of the all-female country & western group comprised of eight inmates serving time in Texas' Goree Prison. Inspired by writer Skip Hollandsworth's 2003 Texas Monthly article "O Sister Where Art Thou," the film follows the Goree Girls as they form the band, capture the hearts of millions, and ultimately receive pardons from the powers that be. ~ Matthew Tobey, All Movie Guide

I am obsessed with Billboards now with regards to promoting movies of Jennifer. What I mean, Billboards are those ads that I can not avoid.
I HOPE WHEN JEN IS A PRODUCER OF THE FILM. SHE WILL INVEST IN PROMOTING HER PRODUCED FILMS IN BILLBOARDS AT EVERY STATES. ONE PIC IN ONE BILLBOARD AT A BIG CITY WILL DO MONTHS BEFORE THE RELEASE OF THE FILM.
I knew already of Vince and Reese movie because of that billboard though I am not watching movies in the theater, I am not watching TV (I have no time for that) and I do not read newspapers too. |

Romance rumors began to swirl this summer when Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler started meeting.
Turns out Jen was interested in Gerards acting!
Life & Style has learned that Jen, 39, has nabbed the 300 star, 39, for a role in The Goree Girls, a womans prison saga shes set to produce and star in next year.
The thing that really blew her away was P.S. I Love You, says a Jen insider. Gerards performance made her laugh and cry.
Should Jens on-again boyfriend, John Mayer, be worried about the Scottish stud?
Shell get a kick out of having romantic scenes with Gerard, the insider says. But she wants to go home at the end of the day with someone like John.
