Image nabs rights to 'Management'
Pic stars Aniston, Zahn and Harrelson

'Management' written and directed by TV scribe Stephen Belber, bowed at the Toronto Film Festival and will be released next spring.
Image Entertainment has nabbed all U.S. rights to the romantic comedy �Management,� starring Jennifer Aniston, Steve Zahn and Woody Harrelson. Pic, written and directed by TV scribe Stephen Belber, will be released next spring.
In the film, Aniston plays a tightly wound art broker who falls for the hopelessly romantic Zahn.
Sidney Kimmel financed and produced with Temple Hill partners Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey. Pic preemed at the Toronto Film Festival.
�We�ve made a multimillion-dollar commitment to bring this film to the bigscreen,� Image prexy David Borshell said.
Samuel Goldwyn is in advanced talks to service the distribution deal.
The deal was negotiated by Image�s Wendy Rutland and CAA�s Dan Steinman.

DISK 0.71, 0.00, 0.0%) , a leading independent licensee, producer and distributor of filmed entertainment programming in North America, announced today that it has acquired all U.S. rights to the film "Management" starring Jennifer Aniston, Steve Zahn and Woody Harrelson from Sidney Kimmel Entertainment.
Under the agreement, Image has secured all theatrical, home video, digital, television and pay-per-view rights for the U.S. Image will release the film theatrically in major markets across the country in Spring 2009.The company is in advanced negotiations with Samuel Goldwyn Films to handle domestic distribution.
"Management" is a romantic comedy about a young woman (Aniston) whose chance encounter with a young man (Zahn) managing the roadside motel she stays in turns into an unexpected relationship. "Management" was written and directed by Emmy-nominated Stephen Belber (TV's "Law & Order" and "Third Watch") and was financed and produced by Sidney Kimmel in concert with Temple Hill Production partners Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey and executive produced by William Horberg and Jim Tauber.
"Image's acquisition of 'Management' is a huge step forward in our efforts to offer filmmakers and agents alike full service feature film distribution," stated Bill Bromiley, Chief Acquisitions Officer of Image ntertainment. "The star power of the film coupled with the romantic yet comedic story will surely catch the audience's attention."

| IMDb has a new Iceland release date: February 20, 2009. That sounds a lot for likely than the other one since we now know they're pushing for a spring release date. No idea why Iceland has a release date or if it's actually a correct one but I'll focus on that one for now. |
