This is bizarre! Someone asked this man what he thinks of Jennifer, as an actress or as a person and he talks about her personal/love life . I think I'm a fan of a different Jennifer, the person I'm fan is not personalized by her love life.

Exactly. Obviously the man reads the tabloids.

The part to be an extra in the Baltimore shooting went for alot, but its for a good cause.

Quote:

The evening ended with an auction which proved that, while Baltimoreans love John Waters, they love the chance to hobnob with beautiful actresses even more. A suitcase packed by Waters, its contents unknown, sold for a whopping $1,550. But the chance to play an extra in He's Just Not That Into You, which will be shooting in Baltimore next month, raised even more. Egged on by the auctioneer, who repeatedly pointed out that the cast includes Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly and Scarlett Johansson, a starstruck movie-lover bid $2,300 for the privilege.

For comparison purposes, a package of Wire-related items, including two tickets to a premiere party for next year's season 5, went for $350. Against Jennifer, Jennifer, Scarlett and Drew, poor David Simon didn't stand a chance.

That's good to hear! So there is more filming on this one after all. That explains a lot, and it's good that they'll be using the actual location for some of it at least.

It has not been revealed who is actually filming in Baltimore yet. If Jennifer does indeed end up here, I will have to find a way to get my buns up to Baltimore which might be hard between work and school.

TV4, Svensk Filmindustri Ink Three-Year Movie Deal

STOCKHOLM, December 19: Swedish network TV4 has reached an exclusive three-year agreement with Svensk Filmindustri (SF) for the free-TV rights to a large number of feature films.

The agreement covers the 2008-2010 period, with the majority of the films being new releases that will screen in Swedish movie theaters over the next three years. The agreement also includes a number of library films from SFs Scandinavian catalogue.

Titles included under the deal are next years new movies Sex and the City (with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis), Hes Just Not That Into You (Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Connelly), 27 Dresses (Katherine Heigl, James Marsden, Malin kerman), Love Guru (Jessica Alba, Justin Timberlake, Mike Myers), Burn After Reading (Brad Pitt, George Clooney, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton) and Four Christmases (Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn).

The new agreement builds on TV4s previous deal with SF for older Swedish films from the SF catalogue. TV4 and SF are also cooperating on the film project, ArnThe Knight Templar, based on the successful novels by Jan Guillou. The two feature films and six-episode TV series will air on TV4 in 2008 and 2009. The first feature film will hit Swedish theatres on December 25.

Clara Scherman, the head of acquisitions at TV4, commented: With this deal, we and SF will further strengthen our partnership, but in the end, it is our viewers that will benefit from the agreement. We are very pleased with being able to offer our viewers a huge range of high-quality films on TV4 over the next three years.

We are very excited to be able to offer, together with TV4, so many films to such a wide audience over the next few years, said SFs Robert Enmark. I am also thrilled that we could include local films from Denmark, Norway and Finland in the deal, giving them a large exposure on a Swedish TV channel.

New Line sells 'Sex' to USA
Network nabs unreleased comedies from studio
By JOHN DEMPSEY

New Line TV has sold 10 theatrical movies to the USA Network, including three comedies that haven't opened yet: "Sex and the City: The Movie," the Will Ferrell vehicle "Semi-Pro" and "He's Just Not That Into You," starring Drew Barrymore and Scarlett Johansson.

The license fee USA ends up paying to New Line for these network-window rights will depend on how much money the pics chalk up when they hit the multiplex. ("Semi-Pro" kicks off Feb. 29, "Sex and the City" on May 30 and "He's Just Not That Into You" on Aug. 1.) The network will pony up about 11% of the domestic box office of each title, with a cap if the movie's grosses start soaring past $150 million.

As in most such movie deals, USA will allow New Line to carve out a window or two for another net, either broadcast or cable, within the 4-year license term of the contract.

The deal is the latest in a series forged by USA that have kept the network on track in the past year or so with FX and TNT/TBS, its main competitors for theatrical movies in the exclusive basic-cable platform.

Late last week, USA agreed to shell out upward of $50 million to Disney-ABC Domestic TV for cable rights to seven movies, led by "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," "Enchanted" and "No Country for Old Men."
The rivalry for movies among the cable nets has caused both USA and FX to engage in a practice that had fallen somewhat out of favor: pre-buys of movies before they open in theaters. Last week, FX purchased five movies from Sony's Columbia Pictures in advance of their theatrical premiere, including two produced by Judd Apatow: "Step Brothers" with Will Ferrell and "Pineapple Express" with Seth Rogen.

Various cable networks say CBS/Paramount is holding an auction for the pre-buy of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," which opens in theaters May 22. More than one net is in the bidding, and the deal could close any day.

The seven other movies USA has purchased from New Line in the 10-title package are "The Golden Compass," "Rendition," "Shoot 'Em Up," "The Number 23," "Martian Child," "El Cantante" and "Running Scared."
Under the deal, USA will be able to assign runs of the movies to one of its sister networks. Bravo and Oxygen could very well get some plays of "Sex and the City: The Movie" and "He's Just Not That Into You." Sci Fi Channel would be a natural for "The Number 23" and "Martian Child." And the Spanish-language version of "El Cantante," with Jennifer Lopez, will definitely go to Telemundo.

USA gets "Golden Compass" in July 2010, "Semi-Pro" in September 2010, "Sex and the City: The Movie" in January 2011 and "He's Just Not That Into You" in March 2011.

HBO will get these titles in advance of their debut on USA in the standard pay TV window. HBO has an exclusive output deal with fellow Time Warner operation New Line.

http://www.showbizspy.com/2008/03/13/scarlett-johansson-date-sells-for-40100-on-ebay/

Scarlett Johansson date sells for $40,100 on eBay

A date with sexy Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson is worth a staggering $40,100.

Thats the huge price a British fan has paid to spend the evening with Johansson after she auctioned herself off on eBay.

The star was offering the highest bidder a chance to spend the evening with her at the premiere of one of her movies.

And the bidder - whose eBay name is Bossnour - shelled out just over $40,000 to win the auction.

Also included in the eBay package was two tickets to the premier of her upcoming summer flick Hes Just Not That Into You which also stars Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore and Ben Affleck.

The winner will receive a chauffered car service to the premiere and their hair and makeup done by Priv?.

The lucky winner of the eBay auction now also gets be two tickets to the world premiere of the movie in July in either Los Angeles or New York - and some one on one time with Johansson herself.

However Bossnour is based in England and will have to pay the flights to New York or Los Angeles themselves.

In a bid to promote the date, a video played on the eBay site featuring Johansson who says: Hi, I am Scarlett Johansson and Im auctioning off two tickets to be my guest at the world premiere of my film Hes Just Not That In To You.

This auction benefits Oxfam, which is an international relief organization that fights poverty around the world.

The winner of the charity auction will not only get to attend the premiere but 100 per cent of the proceeds go directly to supporting Oxfams work so please, please, please bid high.

Thank you for listening and thanks for your support and happy bidding.

Proceeds will benefit Oxfam America, an international development and relief agency which delivers development programs and emergency relief services, and also campaigns for change in global practices and policies that keep people in poverty.

The eBay listing also stated: Scarlett Johansson is a passionate and commited advocate and fundraiser and has been involved with Oxfam since 2005.

In 2007 she traveled to Sri Lanka and India to meet young girls who have a chance to go to school against great prejudice and poverty, and she also met families affected by the Tsunami on the coastline of southern Sri Lanka.

Now you can take part in this special experience with Scarlett and support a great cause! The winning bidder will receive:

Two tickets to the world premiere of Hes Just Not That Into You. The premiere location has not yet been determined but will be in either Los Angeles or New York this July.

Chauffeured car service to the premiere. Hair and makeup for one by Priv?. A meet and greet with Scarlett Johansson at the premiere.

The bidding ended on March 12.

Greg Behrendt talks about a lot of things, including how his book "He's Just Not That Into You" was conceived. Interesting, but long.

One excerpt:

Quote:
He's Just Not That Into You" will be released as a movie this summer, with a cast including Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck. If you've read the book, mostly a collection of anecdotes, that may be hard to imagine.

"We wrote a script, for a man and a woman," Behrendt said. But then Drew Barrymore and her friends at Flower Films, who are producing it, "said 'We think that there's an ensemble comedy in this, and would you like to write an ensemble comedy?' And I said, 'No.' I said, 'I'm done.' I write one script, that's fine.

"They wrote another script, and it was really cute and good. And hopefully they made a good movie out of that. I didn't care -- they could make a Western out of it as far as I'm concerned.

"But I think it's gonna be great. They're very cool -- Drew and her company were great."
