Warner Bros. bought out New Line and then dissolved the company this year, so now it is under Warner Bros. L&S were the first to say that the date moved to October I believe and to fake a rep quote from a major studio would be libel/slander. |

Libel is the written or print form of defamation and this wouldn't necessarily be considered defamation. To defame someone you have to prove that the libelous statement damaged your reputation. I don't know that an incorect release date would qualify. |

| I know what libel/slander means. May not have used them in the right context but the point I was trying to make is I don't see why L&S would put that statement out there citing a Warner Bros. representative by name opening themselves to possibe repercussions over a movie opening date. |

| I don't think they dissolved the company; they made New Line a subsidiary of WB. It could be that WB is speaking for New Line though. In any event it will be a shame if this gets delayed, it has a good buzz going. |

| It's sad, because this movie seems to have big potential. People who saw the raw version liked it very much, and this says a lot. And what I don't like is that this movie is labeled as a Jennifer Aniston movie, even though she only has a small part and the media's (meaning blogs, tabloids) comments will not be so friendly. |

Why do you think WB has some grudge against Jennifer? Sorry I don't know anything about it... |

I hope not, it would be a real shame if that were true. Now I'm afraid that the blogsphere is going to assume that Jennifer, because they keep freaking labeling it Jennifer's new movie, wanted it moved back to avoid the whole competition with the other movie that's coming out on the same day. Why can't everyone just act their age!?
I was so excited for this movie...it has such a great cast and plot. I can't believe we have to wait till February. By then it's been more than a year since they wrapped up filming! |

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As a prelude to the most romantic day of the year, Valentines Day, Warner Bros. In making the announcement, Fellman stated, Hes Just Not That Into You has an amazing cast and delivers as a romantic comedy and a date movie, making it a perfect release for the Valentines Day window.
Hes Just Not That Into You is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo, who worked together as a writer and consultant, respectively, on the beloved HBO series Sex and the City. The film explores, with heart, humor and candor, the social and emotional machinations of modern-day relationships and how men and women often misconstrue the intentions of the opposite sex.
The movie showcases an all-star ensemble cast, including Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper, Ginnifer Goodwin, Scarlett Johansson, Kris Kristofferson, Justin Long and Drew Barrymore. It is directed by Ken Kwapis (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Office) from a screenplay by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein (Never Been Kissed). Hes Just Not That Into You is produced by Flower Films Nancy Juvonen, with Drew Barrymore and Michael Beugg executive producing.
