| I got shocked to and also think he should focus on his rehab, not anything else. Everyone has issues, but I never thought something like this coming, arstist we watch and think all's good, all of the sudden... I just can give my best wishes and put him on my thoughts... |

| ^It's been confirmed by The National Enquirer and Star which are not usually too reliable, but also more recently Extra who says they have like a 911 phone call where it is labeled as a "suicide attempt". And there are videos of Luke, Samuel L. Jackson, and other family & friends visiting him and they all seem pretty somber. |

Unfortunately it's been confirmed as an attempted suicide my police reports obtained by Extra. There has been so much out on it. I just pray that Owen gets his life back. He is such a brilliant actor and so funny. |

The Owen situation is so sad.
I've got to hand it to 20th Century Fox for their genuine thoughtfelt statement and calling out those asking the relatively inane question at this point in time: "It's a totally inappropriate question at this time when all of our thoughts and concerns are with his health and well being." It's nice to hear a corporation putting a person before $$. |

Probably should take this with a grain of salt, since it is Mike Walker and the National Enquirer. Who knows with those people. They did scoop Owen's suicide attempt.

Owen Wilson's suicide attempt may have many implications in his professional life as well as his obvious battles with his inner demons. The actor had several projects planned and a report from the National Enquirer's Mike Walker claims that Jennifer Aniston is concerned about Owen's situation both personally and professionally.

The veteran gossip notes in his weekly column that besides her personal concern for his health it wrecked a career move shrewdly designed to cement the "Friends" beauty as a box office big-screen star after her monster success with then boyfriend Vince Baughn and their box office smash 'The Break Up.'
She was slated to co-star as Owen's wife in the domestic comedy "Marley & Me" � but the project's foundering as producers rush to find a new leading man, and Jennifer's devastated, confides a studio insider. "Jen was counting on this film to help establish her as a box-office commodity," an insider dished to the weekly entertainment magazine.
It teamed her with the director who did 'The Devil Wears Prada' and Owen, one of Hollywood's highest-earning funnymen. Everyone thought it was destined to be a sure-fire block-buster! It is still unclear what will happen with the film project. |

| I can't seeing her stating that. I think she would be genuinely thinking of OW. She has many projects on the go to be worrying about Marley in particular. |

I think they slanted it.
Being the kind of person she is, I'm positive that Jennifer is genuinely concerned about Owen's recovery. I read that Jennifer sent Owen flowers. I also read that Mandy Ingbers visited Owen and I would bet that it was Jennifer's suggestion, either to Owen or to Mandy or to both.
I genuinely hope Owen can do the movie. They will be great together, but it's only 3 1/2 months till shooting starts and I would bet insurance issues have popped up with the producers. |

I can't see her saying this either. I'm sure she is wondering what is going on with this movie as well as the rest of us are but I'm sure she is more concerned over Owen's health and recovery and if she sent him flowers like someone said that is really sweet of her.
I hope they will be able to do this movie together because I think they would be really funny together. |

I read the Enquirer story in print. They didn't say that Jennifer was searching for a replacement - NL added that. Enquirer said the studio was searching for a replacement, mentioned insurability issues - which does make sense, plus shooting was to begin in 3 1/2 months. |

| Owen Wilson was replaced by Matthew McConaughey in Tropic Thunder (directed by Ben Stiller). Maybe they're further in pre-production than Marley & Me. Because I still hope M&M is shot with Owen and Jennifer as the leading actors. Hopefully there's enough time for Owen to recover. :) |
