This Neanderthal thinking comes after both Jodie Foster's The Brave One (even though she's had big recent hits with Flightplan and Panic Room) and Nicole Kidman's The Invasion (as if three different directors didn't have something to do with the awfulness of the gross receipts) under-performed at the box office recently.

If that studio confirms that their policy is to now exclude women as leads, then my policy would be to boycott films made by Warner Bros.

I know people were wondering how come some of the films like Wanted, Senator's Wife etc. have not come to see the light of day yet. Well I ran across this where it says Warner Bros president of production Jeff Robinov will no longer greenlight films with women as the lead because they don't bring back revenue.

Wanted was definitely a Warner Bros. project. Can't say for the rest of them but Jennifer was suppose to be producing a few but we have not heard anything more since then. If this if his mentality whose to say that it's not the mentality of other studios. Actresses already have a hard time in Hollywood as they are very much under paid next to their male counterparts, and film roles become limited as women get older, but to have this also is frustrating. Maybe not at Universal at least. Jennifer has done several Universal films and I noticed that Scott Stuber and Mary Parent are getting these films produced. Maybe there should be more females than males up there in the executive offices.

Same with Julie, I didn't read it but I can tell with everyone's reactions that we're better off not reading such articles where no thought was put in to when it was written. It's clearly a pathetic excuse to blame a film's bad ticket sales because the lead is a woman when the point is they're just not giving enough oppotunites for them..

Can�t he think that the movies are doing bad because they are lame or because the promotion is not good enough?? I mean, probably.
