I watched it too. She was so adorable and looked really pretty but I think she was wearing alittle too much makeup. She doesnt need that much. She is beautiful without it. Anyway, I love watching older interviews of her but I have to say I was alittle disappointed that they barely even talked about Friends. I guess maybe that was because it was June and the show ended but still they couldve talked more about it. And I loved the fact that she stayed through the whole show. She doesnt do that anymore. But all in all I really enjoyed watching it and it was really great seeing how she did an interview so long ago.

I set the dvr to record it but I haven't watched it yet. I will post the video tonight along with the EW TV Land show that aired.

I really enjoyed the show and she did seem a lot more free with her answers. Probably because at that time, the publicist weren't telling her what to watch out for or what to say. Not that they do now but now that she's so much bigger, she is expected to handle herself differently. She also had more of a New York edge about her, probably from not having been in L.A. for that long yet. Did anyone else notice that? Like she seemed a little tougher and a bit more sarcastic.

As far as the makeup, all I could think about was her Diane Sawyer interview in 2004 where she talked about her mom and how her mom was always like, "More makeup, more makeup." Being that her mom was there with her, that's probably why she had so much makeup on in the first place. That's just my guess but I think it's a good one. In any case, it was a fun interview to watch.

That was over 12 years ago. Makeup has gotten softer and more natural looking. On any of the old interviews you'll notice it. I thought she looked adorable. I loved the way she bantered with Jay like a pro. I was really rooting for her on the basketball spin. lol

I just watched it too. They show Jay Leno on a TV station here ( a few hours delayed due to time difference). She was cute. She looked different than now (oh, well, 12 years ago fashion was pretty different) but lots of her gestures haven't changed at all. lovely.

Jen's acting coach talks about her in a recent interview. It's quite lengthy. I'm posting the introduction and the part about Jennifer; however, the whole interview is enjoyable.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: ANTHONY ABESON
11.30.07
By Jeremy Smith

Quote:
If anyone is qualified to repair the damaged state of acting in America, it is Anthony Abeson. And if you didn't know the craft was in crisis, spend an hour or so talking with the highly credentialed acting coach, and see if you aren't suddenly incensed over the film and television industry's rigorously superficial approach to casting.

While the title of Abesons forthcoming book, Must Be Strong Actress... And Look Great in Lingerie, might be humorous, it's actually taken from a very real casting breakdown for a television show he is kind enough to not mention. And though he can laugh about the brusqueness of such criteria, he is acutely aware of its enervating effect on the spirit of his students

Quote:
Q: Obviously, one of your students who's mastered this is Jennifer Aniston. She stepped into a show like Friends, where you have to hit the ground running and, yet, be funny and in complete command of your craft. I think we always saw that from her on that show, and, when the material is decent, in movies. I thought she terrific in The Break-Up. I suppose thats something for which you can take credit?

Abeson: Oh, god, no! Did you see what she wrote about me on my website? She was very generous about that. But the thing that's remarkable, and something I cant take credit for, is what she had when I met her. That story about doing Chekhov and people laughed; with your theater background, I'm sure you remember that Stanislavsky drove Chekhov crazy. Chekhov kept saying, "These are comedies!" Particularly with regard to Three Sisters, which is what Jennifer was working on at the time. Chekhov said, "You're making my characters crybabies!" For decades and decades, this was one of the classic artistic nuts to crack: how to find the humor in Chekhov - which is very pastel and, admittedly, difficult to discover. And here was this kid who was a teenager at the time who just naturally solved it. It was remarkable! She just went in there and made Chekhov truthful, and she found the humor! Thats really astonishing! I cant take credit for that. But what I also tried to share with Jennifer, and what I say to everybody, is, "Listen, that's the kind of talent that deserves to work with the giants." I would love to see her do Molire. I would love to see her tackle some of ONeills heroines. But this is not the kind of culture that is really alive to the concept of developing talent; they're much more alive to the concept of using it.

Jay had the cameras go back to Jen's dressing room and they showed her Mom. I thought her Mom was very pretty. Jennifer also said in a part of the interview that her Mother was there so she couldn't answer Jay's question truthfully. It was about whether she was clothed or unclothed in the shower scene with Matthew Perry.

They now have posted last night's show with Jen on Leno's site. It's supposed to be the full episode. I would think it will only stay on the site for a week. Click on FULL EPISODES at the top and then page down to select it.

Thanks for that.

Anthony Abeson was the first man to inform me that I was funny. This news was bittersweet considering the information came just as I exited, having performed Chekov. I came off stage and I said, theyre laughing at me. And he said, I know. They were. Awkward silence. Jennifer, let me tell you something: youre funny. Offended, I replied, Im not funny, Im a serious actress. And he said, No, no, this is not a bad thing. Go with it. We love funny.

She basically looks the same then as she does now which is amazing. My only qualm about the interview was that it was too short and lol and Kareem hitting on her. He did say green eyes right?
