Britney in shocking custody showdown, taken to PSYCH hospital!!!

Britney showed up late to her deposition on Thursday, but we didn't know how badly things were about to devolve. She was with her boys in the afternoon and supposed to hand them back to Kevin at 7 pm. Instead she apparently locked herself in her house with SP and JJ refusing to give them over. Cops, ambulances and helicopters fought their way through the paparazzi mob to get to the door and try to reason with Britney. After a few hours, she was wheeled out on a gurney and taken to the hospital for a "mental evaluation." While there are a lot of ways to point fingers in this situation, we still don't know the details of what exactly went down and clearly this debacle has reached a heartbreaking low.

According to cops, she was "under the influence of an unknown substance."
Britney was, in fact, taken out of her house on a gurney. Soon after her boys were taken out of the house. Kevin was on the scene.
According to OK! Kevin and his lawyer are at the hospital with Britney. Sam Lutfi is also there as is Britney's father.
Sean Preston came to the hospital with Kevin, but Jayden James was brought in a second ambulance, separate from Britney. Poor baby.
Britney is currently being held at Cedars-Sinai under a 72-hour suicide watch, and will undergo a mental evaluation later today. Sean Preston and Jayden James were released from the hospital early this morning.

I just heard about it and I was shocked. I've never been a fan of Britney, but this is so sad, I feel so bad for her. I hope everything will get better for her, and thank God the boys are fine.

You're just not seeing the big picture here, Freckles. Are you really going to let that girl suffocate 'cause you can't bring yourself to give me one little kiss? Hell, it's only first base. Lucky for you I ain't greedy.

Oh man, what else can happen in this saga..... I am not a fan of Brittney at all but this is (pardon the pun) crazy. That poor girl cant take much more, the more & more I read about Brittney the more I wonder about those two girls mother. Where the HELL was Lynn Spears when Brittney needed her. She should have been right by her daughter weather Brittney wanted her there or not. What kind of mother sits by & lets this &*%^ happen to her daughter.

I just have one message for Brittney..... get better, get your kids back & STAY out of the spotlight!

I'm heartbroken by this sad case of events. I love Britney and want her to get the help that she needs. I've said all along that the problem is not drugs. She is bi-polar- a type of mental disorder. This can be treated with therapy and medications. It is a fairly common condition. It's a terrible situation-we all need to keep her and her family in our thoughts and prayers! angel1

Ok.... She wasn't taken to a pysche hospital lol. She's at a normal hospital, Cedar Sinai or whatever it's called in LA, and thankfully she was NOT under the influence of any alcohol or drugs.

I just love her so much and I hope she gets whatever issues she has taken care of, she's clearly a very troubled soul, and she's had a tough past couple of years, it's no wonder.

I'm so sad for her that she has lost all physical and legal custody of her boys, but she is clearly in no state to be caring for them right now, she needs to take care of herself <3

Just when you think there is nothing that could shock you with regards to her something new happens! I just hope she gets the help she needs. She needs to get out of the spotlight for sometime and just focus on getting better.

Britney Breaks Free From the Hospital
After being evaluated and supposedly having to remain at Cedars-Sinai hospital for 72 hours, ET reports the starlet is home free and was released via an underground tunnel. She was released since she is no longer considered a danger.

Dr.phil was supposedly there but since I can't stand the man's voice I was trying to avoid that part of the story. Apparently, he escorted Brit out of the hospital with her father, hopefully, to help her instead of exploit her on his show.

He released the following statement to ET: "My meeting with Britney and some of her family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention. She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her."

So so very sad. I agree. I have said to colleagues at work that this was not a substance abuse problem. That's why the first rehab didn't work, they were all treating her with an abuse problem, and it is a lot harder for someone to admit mental problems and seek treatment than drugs or alcohol.

Dr Phil is ratings grabbing and should stay away. According to TMZ she refused to speak to him. What a media wh**e.

B. Spears went crazy. That's the pressure of succes. I wish her all the best but the best choice for her would be to leave her alone.

I think that having a disease or not she needs help and a hospital is the best way to calm down, I wish her the best and I hope she can be the person that she was a few years ago.
