Quote: Bob named 'most iconic' hairstyle
The bob - as popularised by Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes - has been named the "most iconic haircut" of all time.
The hairstyle, originally associated with 60s stars such as Mary Quant and Twiggy, beat Jennifer Aniston's sleek long Friends cut in the survey. Her hairdo sparked the biggest hair craze of the Nineties as women flocked to salons to ask for "a Rachel".
The Amy Winehouse-style Sixties beehive was third, followed by the 1970s Farrah Fawcett feathered number, as recently imitated by Madonna.
Mia Farrow's ultra-short Rosemary's Baby crop was fifth in the online poll, commissioned by Hair magazine, followed by the heavy fringe worn to the side that Lady Diana Spencer sported when she announced her engagement to the Prince of Wales.
Joanna Lumley's "Purdey bob" from her period in The New Avengers was seventh.
The survey of 1,600 people also found that Jennifer has the hair that women envy the most, followed by Catherine Zeta Jones, Cat Deeley, Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie, Natalie Imbruglia, Victoria Beckham, Nicole Kidman, Sharon Stone and Sienna Miller.
Hair magazine editor Louise White said: "The bob is a timeless classic that has been a chic style statement for more than six decades.
"With celebrities like Victoria Beckham giving it their seal of approval time and time again, it's a look that will always evolve to be at the forefront of fashion."
And this from from National Enquirer. Not the most reliable source, Mike Walker is, but the story is pretty innocent.
Quote: CHOW DOWN JENNIFER!
Speaking of weird star behavior at eateries, petite JENNIFER ANISTON chowed enough food to feed three people or KIRSTIE ALLEY at Mortons steakhouse, polishing off a 24-ounce porterhouse, then devouring leftovers two galpals were about to wrap half a chicken and an Australian lobster tail saying: WaitIm not through yet as she guzzled beaucoup bubbly! Then she sat back and groaned: God, Im full! Giggled one gal: Its no wonderyou ate everything on the table! When Jen finally left, she was (burp!) rubbing her taut little tummy! Jennifer Aniston looks like she could have jumped off the stages at New York's Fashion Week, but she's really across the continent in Vancouver filming her latest chick flick, Traveling. The Break-Up star plays an emotionally vulnerable seminar attendee who falls for a best-selling self-help guru played by Aaron Eckhart . |

Was she or wasn't she in NYC last night?

I MUST learn to be more observant of my surroundings.
Last night Dear Husband and I went out to dinner with some friends from out of town who were visiting NYC for a few days.
The way our booth was positioned, we were sitting in a semi-circle. DH could see all the people coming into the restaurant as they were being seated. I had a view of the windows as did my friend. Her husband could only see the backs of the people as they walked by our table to be seated.
About 3/4 of the way through the evening, a group of about 5 people walked past our table. I barely noticed them since we were having such a good time laughing and talking with our friends.
Just as the group passed our table, DH said, Was that Jennifer Aniston that just walked by?
We all looked quickly, but all I could see were 3 women with long blonde hair with a guy in front of them and the waiter behind them.
DH said The first guy was definitely security. Im sure that was Jennifer Aniston.
I truly did need to use the restroom, so my friend and I excused ourselves from the table and on the way to the restroom, we just happened to walk by the private room where this group had been seated. Wouldnt you know that Jennifer had been seated with her back to the door and all we could see were her girlfriends (none anyone I recognized)?
During the ride home, I told DH that it would have been nice if he could have said something about 10 seconds sooner so the rest of us could have seen if it really was Jennifer or not. He apologised, but said he was so stunned to possibly be seeing Jennifer Aniston that he couldnt talk for a few seconds.
I cant blame the guy, but he should be kind of used to seeing famous people by now. He has seen Dick Van Dyke, Gene Shalit, Nicole Kidman, Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart, Garth Brooks, Kelly Ripa & her family, John Travolta with one of his kids, Oprah Winfrey (I was there for that one and missed it, too) and a few professional sports guys at airports, movie theaters, restaurants, and hotels over the past few years.
I have not been with him for most of these sightings, but for the few I have been present, I always miss it. Always.
Oh well, Ill settle for seeing Lysa TerKeurst, Big Mama, Boo Mama, Shannon, Marybeth Whalen, and some of my other blogger friends IF I get to attend the She Speaks conference in June.
Still hoping and praying to attend the conference,
Carol |

More info about the Big give it is quite long but explains alot
ABC has revealed the identities of the 10 people competing on Oprah's Big Give, a new reality competition series that will challenge its contestants to find "dramatic and emotional" ways to spend show-supplied money on others.
Each one-hour Oprah's Big Give episode takes place in a different U.S. city -- including Los Angeles, Denver, Houston, Miami, Atlanta, New York and Chicago -- where the contestants are met by a "mystery challenge" that will test how well they can use their cash, time and imagination to help others.
Oprah's Big Give will begin with the 10 contestants -- who hail from across the country and have diverse backgrounds -- as they converge on Los Angeles for their first challenge, where Winfrey will hand them sealed envelopes with only a picture and the name of a complete stranger. Then, in only five days, each contestant must "give big" to "change this person's life" by using their creativity and resources to "make a real difference."
Each episode will end with the show's three judges -- chef Jamie Oliver; NFL star Tony Gonzalez; and philanthropist Malaak Compton-Rock, who is comedian Chris Rock's wife -- determining which of the contestants will be eliminated based on their creativity, leadership, presentation and accomplishments during that city's task.
The "gives" get even bigger throughout Oprah's Big Give's eight-episode run, and at its conclusion, the contestant left standing will receive the title of "The Biggest Giver" and -- unbeknownst to them -- a $1 million prize.
"This show is fun, entertaining, and powerful television with a real heart," said Winfrey. "America will just love the heart of this show."
Throughout the contestants' travels, they will run into various celebrities -- including actors Jennifer Aniston, John Travolta and Jada Pinkett-Smith; singer Natalie Cole; The Apprentice star Donald Trump; and athletes Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Tony Hawk and Danica Patrick, among others.
In addition, Winfrey will make multiple appearances throughout the season in various locations to "surprise the contestants with dramatic new twists and turns."
Hosted by interior designer and decorator Nate Berkus -- who frequently appears on Winfrey's The Oprah Winfrey Show and is also a survivor of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami -- Oprah's Big Give is scheduled to premiere Sunday, March 2 at 9PM ET/PT on ABC.
Oprah's Big Give will serve as the lead in for Here Come the Newlyweds, a new reality series that follows recently married pairs as they face-off for the opportunity to claim an ever-escalating cash prize, which will premiere Sunday, March 2 at 10PM ET/PT.
ABC ordered the previously titled Oprah Winfrey's The Big Give last March, and Winfrey's Harpo Productions tapped The Amazing Race co-creators Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri to executive produce the series.
The 10 contestants competing on Oprah's Big Give -- as well as their ABC-supplied bios -- are:
- Angelo Adams, a 30-year-old West Point graduate and Iraq War veteran from Ann Arbor, MI
- Olusegun "Sheg" Aranmolate, a 23-year-old pre-med student from Nashville, TN
- Rachael Hollingsworth, a 31-year-old singer and actress from Los Angeles, CA
- Cameron Johnson, a 22-year-old entrepreneur and dot-com millionaire from Roanoke, VA
- Eric Klein, a 37-year-old former model who currently works as a disaster relief worker from Boston, MA
- Brandi Milloy, a 23-year-old pageant queen from Chicago, IL
- Stephen Paletta, a 43-year-old real-estate developer from Bedford, NY |

It looks like it is the smae, i had forgotten that there was a place set aside for it, sorry, and sidely it looks like jen as made the front page of ok magazine yet again, i wish it was for something other than the triangle rubbish but it is not.
God please let Jen be with someone and let people realise she has moved on, bcos let's face it they won't believe she has unless they see her with someone, sad but true.
And it is so annoying right now i actually feel sad for jen that she has to go through all this even though i am sure she has moved on a long time ago not nice at all. |
