Can I just mention that I really don't like it when he's half naked on stage? It's so boygroup-y; I really dislike that. Not that he's bad to look at but it just takes away from his music. The wifebeater is good enough.

Oh, and you guys just have to get the live dvd Where The Light Is. I watched parts of it in a media store the other day and whoa, I can't wait to get it. I didn't have enough money with me to buy the dvd but I have the CDs and it's a great show. The film is so well done. You really want to go to a concert after watching only a few minutes of it.

By the way, what is he referring to in Out Of My Mind when he's singing "Go tell your friends just what Johnny did..."? The crowd always goes crazy at that phrase. Both, at the Live in Los Angeles concert and the Try! concert, John Mayer Trio.

Oh, also, does anyone know if there's any story behind naming it John Mayer Trio? It seems so uncreative and Mr Mayer is anything but that.

And now I'm going to paint my room while listening to John Mayer. :)

haha glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about the topless performances

as for the JM3-they are personally a favorite of way, created during the period btw Heavier Things and Continuum. He has said that he couldn't find the inspiration for Continuum and working with the JM3 enabled him to find the "blues". It seems like this is the route he's going to be returning to as soon as he's done touring with Continuum.

oh and tassia-the tmz video was different segments to make it look like he was hosting the show
someone over at msm said they were going to upload the entire thing. it really was like 10 minutes of footage altogether

I agree as well about the shirt, but I just think it's all part of the whole "panama" feel of the song. He doesn't do it with the other songs, and he is just goofing around.

Meet and Greet with John last night, with a nice picture.

Last night we scored tickets to John Mayer's meet & greet. The actual meet was 5 seconds but none of us had ever done something like this before, so it was pretty cool. John seems like a pretty cool dude and he put on a great show. We had some pretty sweet seats too! A big thanks to Blackberry for the hookup!

He succeeded in being as trashy as possible. I could have done without the fart though.

This is the part I thought it was way too much. I thought I was the only one thinking this was a bit gross to do it.

I guess I'm just used to typical frat boy humor because while I didn't laugh, I didn't think it was trashy either.

He's said things that are far worse.

and the topless performance, well...I'm still with cookie jar on that one.

What can you say about John Mayer? He is one talented human!! A little weird I think but still worth the money to go see live for sure!!

On my best Jennifer Aniston Friend's blooper interpretation: You so good! Look at this man reputation. I don't think I'll stop laughing on the next two hours.
