20. Guilty Pleasure: "American Idol" or "The Bachelor?

American Idol. If you watch the bachelor you might as well go slap a blind person in the face because youre wasting your eyesight.

I think we've found a big problem right there. The Bachelor is Jen's "guilty pleasure", she hates"Idol Sh*t" (I'm with you, sistar); John hates The Bachelor, likes American Idol.

^ Well, I think they should both turn off the TV. Thanks for the link, Meg.

Sail Away With John Mayer

Good news to all you John Mayer fans. You can now sail away on a fun summer vacation with the musician.

The hottie is about to set sail for the 2nd year on his Mayercraft Carrier 2. Mayer will host the fan cruise on the brand new "Carnival Splendor" from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico from March 27, 2009 to the 31st.

The Cabins go on sale today at mayercraftcarrier.com or by calling 877-SIXTHMAN. If you book early you can receive priority seating for one of Mayers main lounge shows.

We hear the band Guster along with other bands and comedians will join Mayer on the cruise. You can even party with Mayer in nightclub-like settings.

With all this Mayer talk, we can't resist thinking if he will be taking his favorite "Friend" Jennifer Aniston along for the ride? With the rate their relationship is going, we wouldn't be surprised. All we can say at this point is Bon Voyage!

^ Oh, I wish I had time, money and lived around, I'd definitely go. :/

Reading one of Richard Young's - remember him? the birthday guy John wrote about recently on his blog - annual interviews for mystupidmouth.com, I came across the question below:

Quote:
RY: Over the last year, do you have a biggest regret?

JM: I regret the Rolling Stone interview. I was not misquoted at all. I wanted to bring a different side and it really just wasn't genuine. Sometimes you experiment with being obnoxious. That was kind of an obnoxious interview on my part. That's probably the only thing I regret. That's probably the only thing I've ever read and just went "fudge." It's all Rolling Stone. It's not Rolling Stone's fault. You sit down and if you're worth your salt, then you've read a whole bunch of Rolling Stones and you know Rolling Stone is where you give the juicy stuff. And [nobody]-I swear to you, who's ever said [they've been] misquoted by Rolling Stone-[was] misquoted in Rolling Stone. They misspoke in Rolling Stone because Rolling Stone is so cool that if you try to up the ante and speak Rolling Stone's language, it won't come off right. I didn't come off right because I wasn't right.

I know the chat took place almost a year from now, my intention is not relive John's infamous Rolling Stone interview, but I believe it would be a nice reading for those who still hold a bad impression on him because of it. His sincerity stands out in his answer, I thought it was very nice, he has proven to be human, made a mistake and admitted it.

Thank you for posting that. I remember being happy when he said that about the RS interview because he didn't even make sense for most of it

Does anyone have a link to the infamous RS interview? I'm so tired right now that I'm not at all in the mood to start searching tryjm.

I hope he doesn't bring her, because it's enough to read the comments from tryjm just for once and you realise some of his fans are so, let's say, "intense" and "disaproving" that they managed to scare me.

Good to see him admit to making a mistake and being accountable for what he said instead of trying to blame Rolling Stone for misquoting him or making things up. It's hard enough to make a mistake in your life with only a few people knowing about it, but to admit to a mistake is read by millions of people shows character. Good for John.

Thank you Bella hug1

I'm gonna have a good read before going to bed.

ETA: Sooooooooo, this is the interview with the famous quote about B and A ..... When I first heard of it I wrote (somewhere here in the forum) that he probably said many of the things just for the sake of saying something that would "impress" the readers and, man I was right laayla . And that's what he did. It's good that he admited it and regreted it. He said "I'm at a point right now where the more I talk, the more I'm going to say something in the next twelve months that's going to damage my career." and I consider it the only good part of this interview, except of course the career infos.

He also mentionated on a [very mellow] radio interview this year that he regretted doing it. In the minute I find it, I'll post.

ETA: He didn't specified what interview, but we all know which.

Quote:
Sid - So, John, one of the newest rumors that I've heard, is that you carry around anti-anxiety pills with you, because you get so overwhelmed by everybody.
John - That one -- geez, I did this interview, and it was one of the worst interviews I've ever done.
Sid - Sorry about that.
John - It was one of the worst stories that ever came out, I don't have a problem saying that. I would say it to the guys face, 'cause I'm gutless, but...
(laughing)
John - You know, it's like the guy spent the whole time talking about how much I talk in an interview, like it was an interview, what am I supposed to do?
Sid - Right!
John - What, do your hands hurt from typing? Give me a break.
(laughing)
