OKay guys, this may be old news to people, but I have finally figured out where Jen got Norman from. I am 99% sure this is right...He was "Clunkers" in "TOW Chandler Doesn't Like Dogs", and after that Jen adopted him. He does look slightly different, because of his hair length, but I am pretty sure that this is him. In the GQ article it mentioned that Norman had appeared on Friends, and there were only 2 dogs that really did. The other one looked nothing like! Hope this answers some questions!

That never dawned on me, but it makes sense! When that episode aired, I remember thinking that Clunkers was really adorable. I've got to go watch that episode!

I thought that too, but hasn't she had Norman since the late nineties? The Chandler doens't like dogs episode was in 2000 (I think).

yeah, I thought the same when she mentioned him being an actor dog, and the Friends thing. yep he was a cute little-big puppy.

by the time of '00 she already had him.

That's the only reason why I still don't know where/when Norman appeared on Friends.

I thought I heard somewhere that it was like the back-up dog or something and the animal trainers were like "This dog is too difficult to train!" So Jen took him.

No, I think that that dog is Enzo (that pic looks old, from about 1997, based on Jen's hair); Norman's eyes are blue, and his fur has big patches of gray in it.

if he appeared in friends he could also have been a "just walking on the street" scene, where the friends stars were outside..

Because of Klunkers hair lenght I highly doubt it's Norman. Otherwise they do have some similarities. They're both super cute love2

I don't think Clunkers is Norm, for one thing they're completely different species of dog! Perhaps Norm was supposted to be on Friends, but was too lazy and didn't get the part...so Jen gave him a new home.

I read on a magazine one time (i think rolling stone) that she got Norman as a gift from her -ex...the one right before Brad...i can't remember his name.

As i recall she said she got him as a birthday ( or was it valentine's) present from him.

Enzo was a gift from Tate Donovan.
