An elderly man backed his car into a plate-glass window at the popular Golden's Deli in New Springville yesterday morning, wiping out a mural of most of the cast of the iconic sitcom "Friends" and making two patrons leap to safety.

Only Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) remained unscathed after the car -- a 2001 Mercury Sable driven by 81-year-old Anthony Bonanno of Annadale -- slammed through the window and ended up completely inside the Richmond Avenue deli.

Her caricature was on a different window, explained Ray Pannone, the deli's owner.

The mural cost several thousands of dollars when he first had it painted several years ago, Pannone said, and it won't be easy to replace.

"After so many years, now, you've got to find the artiste," Pannone said. "But again, nobody was hurt."

Raising shell

Whitfield, who co-starred in My Cousin Vinny as Ralph Macchio's pal and co-defendant, says being Donatello beats the reputation he has as the guy picked for Friends who was replaced by David Schwimmer.

�I really get irritated if I can�t watch it.

�Yesterday I met Lisa Kudrow. I was so tongue-tied and I blushed.
