Anyone ever noticed this? For a few days ago I was watching an episode of Friends, and Matthew Perry didn't star in it. I played the episode back to check again but no, he really wasn't in the episode. I've always thought that it wasn't possible if an actor didn't star in an episode, but apparantly it is.. I wanted to share it with you which episode it was, but I don't know anymore! banghead1

Anyone of you ever seen an episode where one of the actors was missing? If so, which episode and which actor?

Yes, I thought that it was in series 7. But I've checked every episode (yes, when I suspect someting I really have to know!) and in every script I saw the name 'Chandler', so now I don't now which episode it was...

I can't think of what episode that must be off the top of my head, but the writers were good about giving people very light storylines if they couldn't be on set a lot at the time, maybe it was around when he entered rehab?

Yes that's right, if an actor was sick or something they taped it the week after that, but when they knew they it weeks earlier they gave the actor a very light storyline, by example Jennifer knew she couldn't attend the taping night of 'TOW the Sharks', that's why she has only a 'phone call' scene (alone) and another little scene with Monica.

Yeah, I remembered that when you mentioned it. She just goes on 2 scenes, veri quickly... But I don't know which ep you're talking that Matthew is missing. Which one is it?

I'm hoping to see it soon again, but the weird thing is, I've scrolled down on every script from an episode that I thought it might be that one, and every time I see 'Chandler'. I don't know girls, only thing I know that it really was an episode without 'Chandler' because I immediately checked that episode to see if he really wasn't in it... When I know which episode it was, I'll post it.

I'm 99.999% certain all six characters appeared in every single episode during the entire run of the series.

Are you sure it wasn't a dream? I'm sure someone else would have noticed if a main character is missing in an episode. That's strange. And you don't remember anything besides the fact that Chandler/Matthew wasn't there?
