Well supposedly they have a quote from a studio rep that it has changed dates. I guess we will see. Not surprising though since New Line is pretty much dissolved.

Just came from IMDB. They now have an October 1st date on HJNTIY's page...We'll just have to wait and see if this is true or not...

But I agree with Kamia---there was no poster..no trailer..seems like Flowers Production Company dropped the ball on this one. Plus NL fired over 475 of their workers..It's dissolved and is now under Warners...this got caught in the restructuring....

You're right, Kathy. I posted a blog entry from someone who saw a screening last week and described it as "rough cut". The ball was dropped on this movie, for sure.

I don't think anyone tipped of anyone else in regards to the Life and Style piece. I think they are just being them, a tabloid. I also don't blame Drew's production company because New Line was the head distributor for the film. Warner Bros. has gone back and reshuffled a few of New Line's release dates so they do not conflict with their company's films. This movie is not the only one to be moved back or up. It's all politics really. Warner has Sister of the Traveling Pants coming out on August 8th and I believe they moved HJNTIY from August 1st so both are not competing against each other for the female audience. Warner was not going to movie their movie. Since no official date has been given let's hope it doesn't get pushed back to 2009 which they were considering doing for another New Line movie. I am concerned because it seems they don't know what they are going to do with this movie. The Senator's Wife was also a New Line film which makes me sad as it will probably never see the light of day now.

In all seriousness, though, sounds like someone's really reaching in order to manufacture some drama. It's unfortunate that a lack of real news for them to write about seems to justify such fabrications.
