Well here is a surprise, from the Harpers Bizarre article:
Then, she tells Harper's, what she'd really like to do is work on her "labor of love," Goree Girls, which is the story of a 1940s female country band that started in prison. "Yep. I can carry a tune, and I was known to throw out a jazz hand from time to time in high school," she says.

well, if she can sing I wonder if she is going to star in it instead of just producing it.

I think it definitely sounds like she is going to be the star of the movie not just the producer! Who knows maybe she'll even direct too :)

I love romantic comedies but I really wanted Jen to win an Oscar. But the Academy likes drama and I think this is a god film for Jen to win the statue.

In Oscars it will took a good director and a good writer that the good performances of actors will be acknowledged. Let us say a Coen brothers directing and writing for her, or a true to life story Dick Chapelle project, or Goree girls with David Fincher to direct maybe. I don't know.
But it does not matter graca, she is already blessed with wealth and fame.
If you won an Oscar it is like winning in a Lottery or a Jackpot in the casino. Some will win the Oscar then they will suddenly increase their talent fees, if unknown they will garner popularity just like other celebrities have. And our girl is already at the peak of being famous around the world.
And we just love her for being herself. For us, in our hearts and minds, she is already the best and she (Jennifer) do not need a trophy to prove that.

I realize it says "A Big Maybe", but it sure is nice to see someone talking about Goiree Girls. Excerpts below.

Film production in Central Texas heats up
By Chris Garcia
Quote: AMERICAN-STATESMAN FILM WRITER
Thursday, April 24, 2008
As Matt Dentler, or any trend-spotter, could tell you, the local film industry isn't what it used to be. 2007 saw a modest 15 television and film projects shot here, compared with 27 the year before and 33 in 2004. But the city still has muscle and proves consistently attractive to filmmakers inside and outside Texas.
Here's a rundown of recently wrapped, currently shooting and upcoming feature film productions in the area (expect 2009 release dates for all of them):
Quote: 'The Goree Girls' A big maybe. DreamWorks is producing an adaptation of Skip Hollandsworth's Texas Monthly article about a falsely convicted woman who forms an all-female band in a Texas prison. Jennifer Aniston could star, and Texas writer-director John Lee Hancock ('The Alamo') is rewriting Margaret Nagle's script. 'We sure hope it happens,' Hudgins says.
