I'm thrilled for Jen to have another number 1 movie, hopefully this will go some way to stopping a few journalists suggesting she hasn't had a successful movie career.
I'm thrilled too for the Grogans, imagine a movie about your life being seen by so many people! |

Now I understand, Christmas Day is different from the weekend!
Kathy Bear wrote: The weekend expected total is 37 million....add on the 14.7 million Christmas Day and it's around 51.7 million total so far!!!!!The actual numbers will be in tomorrow afternoon! It may vary a tad but the main thing is Marley and Me was number 1!!!! Kamia..I agree-it's almost made it's budget back already!!!That's a great thing..not too many movies do that opening weekend!
Marley and Me...NUMBER ONE!!!! |

I'm super happy for Jen, I'm sure this will make her holidays one of the best.
I think it's satisfying to know that your choice of getting a break for 2 years a delicate moment for 37yrs old female actress was right and have this sensational comeback beating people like TC who has been a BO king with Will Smith and Jim Carey who had a release just a week prior, oh yeah and her ex lol.
Now I can't wait till February for HJNITY,cause even though it's a multi starrer movie, I'm sure they'll use her potential BO power the most, as they did till now.
Congratulation Jennifer! |

I do hope not far in the future JEN could do a fantastic role and performance in a drama and get OSCAR |

| more than anything, i think jen is a very smart woman, she has been understimated because of the brangelina shadow, the media has forced on her. she understands this business and what people really want. |

Just returned from seeing Marley again. Love is lovlier the second time around.
I picked up on some one-liners I missed last time, saw John Grogan in his whoopy shirt and also Dave Berry. [Hes cute] Didnt cry as much this time. I guess I was prepared. It was showing on two screens and my screening was packed, even the front row all the way across the theater. There was a long line waiting for Bedtime Stories with lots of really little kids. I know they loved it. At my show there were only a handful of really little kids that I could see lots of couples and families with older kids and teenagers. Quite a few groups of teenagers, mostly girls. The theater in general was packed had to park in an adjacent lot something Ive never had to do before since this complex has a huge lot.
Will I see it again? Most likely.
Box Office Mojo has published estimated numbers from yesterday and the weekend.

I know there is an opinion out there that Jen is overrated but I personally have the opp opinion. I think she is underrated as an actor and I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that she makes comedy look so easy when it is one of the toughtest things to play. I think in general actors who are that good at comedy and have done well in that genre for so long are not considered as great as the ones who do drama but I kinda have a different perspective on that whole issue. Its one of the reasons why The Good Girl will always be considered a very prominent film when it comes to her career. People got to see a different side of her and it seems like Marley and Me too is much more than just romantic comedy and I think that is perhaps the reason why people are liking it.
Box Office success is something you can't really predict. The media will say whatever the hell they want to say. Today there is one headline but god forbid if the next movie doesn't do well at all there will be another headline. She is choosing projects which connect to her on some level. I think the tag that she is just good at a certain genre can obviously limit the kinda roles that come to her so considering all that I think she has done great so far. |

Meg, don't spend your entire 401k on Marley. HJNTIY is only two months away |

| Haha I just saw it, and I think anyone would have to admit, if you stopped and thought about it, I don't think that just any actor could have played that role, it looks so flawless and effortless cause she's good! Haha. I'm proud. |
