Friendly visit Jen jets in for holiday shoot

HOLLYWOOD stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson paid a flying visit to Ireland this week to shoot their latest movie.
The pair were in Connemara filming holiday scenes for the upcoming big screen adaptation of 'Marley and Me', a best-selling autobiography by American journalist John Grogan which portrays a family over the lifetime of their dog, the eponymous Marley.
Wilson, Aniston and crew stayed in the plush Ballynahinch Castle hotel during the shoot, which took in several locations around Connemara, including Roundstone in Co Galway.
They spent only two nights -- Wednesday and Thursday -- at the castle, with the entire cast and crew taking up 20 �600 rooms over two floors of the castle's luxury wing.
Aniston flew into Shannon Airport by private jet on Wednesday evening and was accompanied by three friends and a minder.
She was then flown by helicopter to her hotel and it is understood that she also left by helicopter yesterday morning.
Hotel staff vowed to keep a tight lid on the visit until their famous guests left, even though word of the filming had filtered out locally.
Ballynahinch Castle manager Patrick O'Flaherty said that Aniston enjoyed her first sight of Ireland.
"When she was leaving, I asked her what she thought and she said it was the 'most wonderful place'," Mr O'Flaherty said yesterday.
"She particularly enjoyed the helicopter ride from Shannon because it was a clear day."
He added that Aniston felt comfortable walking around unaccompanied -- a big change from her usual arrangement where her minders watch her every step.
"She was quite happy to sit in the bar before dinner and walk in the grounds. I think it's a west of Ireland thing -- we're not shy but we're not going to bother you," Mr O'Flaherty said.

I know that I haven't posted on this site in a while, but I was just e-mailed some great pics of the filming in West Chester, PA. The pictures are taken from local amateur photographers, friends of mine. I hope you enjoy them. Thanks for your help Mike.

It's funny, but even though I always liked Jennifer Aniston, I was never a crazy over the top fan of hers. I am an amateur actress and have been in several movies. I love the movie business and seeing famous people. I like watching movies being made. That's why I was hanging around the set. But, after seeing Jen's beauty in person, both inside and out, I am hooked. She just radiated beauty. She went out of her way to be so nice. I adore her and only wish the best for her. Of course the whole atmosphere with the snow at night time,with bride and groom all dressed up, just added to the magic of that night. I will never forget it.

I too think Jen is beautiful inside and out. Just like Jennifer, you went out of your way to be so nice and to share with us. Thank you again. | Unfortunately I did not meet her...but some local housewives here did and got her autograph. They live near the house in Birmingham Township and just camped out the whole time for any chance of a meeting. It finally paid out on the evening of May 23rd, Friday a little after 10:00 PM. Jennifer had finished her part of filming in PA and was leaving town. She thanked the women for their devotion and support. I was debating whether or not to go that evening, but trying to explain my obsession to my husband was a difficult task and I went home after work instead. I was so sad I missed that. I did see her though within several feet and was standing right next to her SUV as she left the set. I saw her closer than I did Cameron Diaz and I was in a movie with her, if that tells you anything. |
