I just noticed that over the next couple of months, John Grogan will be touring all over the US to promote The Longest Trip Home. The schedule is here - a couple of his appearances are in Chicago, so I'll try and make it to one of them! This should be interesting  |

Thanks Meg. As a huge dog lover I am sure that this movie will have as great of a success as this book.
I have a 11 year old springer which was MUCH more well behaved than Marley!
She is so much a part of my family and I like her more than my kids most of the time! In January she had a radical mastectomy. She is doing great and is the Queen of our house!
This movie will I am sure will be one that many people can relate to and I have a feeling that it will be a sleeper blockbuster like ET. Many people will be able to relate to this story and I cannot wait! |

^Glad your dog is okay!
This book made me think so much of my old dog Scout. He was even a white lab, and he was as much of a handful as Marley, if not more (must be something about male white labs I think). He was shot by a hunter when he was playing in the woods. It was one of the saddest things ever, but I cannot wait to see this movie.
I feel like Scout was just like Marley in so many ways. I would have probably seen this movie either way, but I'm sooo happy that Jennifer is in it! It just makes me love her and the story of Marley even more. |
