Jennifer Aniston says she knows exactly what dating advice she'd tell herself today if she could go back in time.
"Never order a cherry tomato!" the He's Just Not That Into You star, 39, tells MTV News. "I was on a date with this guy ... there was a cherry tomato and he bit into it and it was all over my white dress. So that was just one side note. No cherry tomatoes!"
It's still not easy for Aniston to date these days due to constant scrutiny, she says.
"It's not fun," says the star. "You could end the date and shake hands with them and realize it doesn't work, and all of a sudden you're a new couple."
Although her costar Scarlett Johansson couldn't recall a bad date, the actress -- who dated Josh Hartnett and Jared Leto before wedding Ryan Reynolds last year -- has learned a thing or two.
"I think I've found that relationships are only going to work out when you're really yourself and you're not posturing in any way," she says. "You're just honest with who you are. ... There's a difference between compromising something and compromising yourself."
Being a celebrity doesn't make learning about love any easier, says costar Drew Barrymore.
"I think it's the same as high school or inter-office dating. It's the same feeling," she says. "What we deal with is strange and surreal, but the emotions are the same as anyone."
He's Just Not That Into You opens Feb. 6.

| I am glad she did not agree to post in Playboy, if the rumor is true. I don't think John would like that. GQ was a different story. If you pose for Playboy, you are in line w/ those "girls". That's just me. |
