Jennifer Aniston: Fabulous At 40
The "He's Just Not That Into You" & "Marley & Me" Star Uses Humor & Yoga To Cope With Aging

(CBS) If you want proof that 40 is the new 30 in Hollywood, then look no further than actress Jennifer Aniston.

She turns the big "Four-O" and she's never been hotter, Early Show national correspondent Hattie Kauffman reports.

It happens to all of us. Our "Friends" start turning 40, including Aniston, who shared her thoughts about it with Ellen DeGeneres.

"I did have a moment over the weekend. I had my first, 'Ahhh! I don't want to, I don't want to!' I found a really long gray hair and it kind of flipped me out," Aniston admitted.

On the hit series, "Friends" we all watched her character Rachel wrestle with turning 30.

"Conventional wisdom in Hollywood is that when you turn 40 as an actress your movie career cools down, but Jennifer Aniston seems to be going to opposite direction," said Entertainment Weekly writer Adam B. Vary.

In fact, her last film, "Marley & Me," has taken in $140 million and her newest, "He's Just Not That Into You," is currently number one.

"A lot more women are independent and not married and going into their 40's and look at Jennifer Aniston I think that that person reflects my life, and so I think that it just bodes well for her," Vary said.

Of course 40 is a bit more fabulous when you look like Aniston.

The birthday girl posed in her birthday suit for GQ Magazine. She told Early Show co-anchor Harry Smith that her secret for staying in shape - intense yoga workouts.

"You've got to see that breath of fire," Smith said.

"I've got to get that fire before I calm down because if I'm going to work out, I've got to have it mean something," she said.
40 forty this year, including Renee Zellweger, Jennifer Lopez, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Mariah Carey.

And it's also worth noting that a lot of sexy men will be turning 40 this year as well, including P-Diddy, Matthew McConaughey and Javier Bardem.

"It's my time. Every woman that's ever said, or man, that said 'It just gets better.' I just agree," Aniston told Smith.

She will next star opposite the very handsome Gerard Butler.

Sheryl Crow: Jennifer Aniston's 40th B-Day Party Was "a Lot of Fun"
Wednesday February 11, 2009

Buzz up!How was Jennifer Aniston's 40th birthday party Saturday?

"It was a lot of fun!" Sheryl Crow -- who had her 47th birthday party Feb. 6 -- tells Usmagazine.com of Aniston's bash at her Beverly Hills home on Feb. 7. (Crow also tells Extra she danced all night with fellow partygoer Courteney Cox.)

Asked about a rumored song John Mayer penned for girlfriend Aniston, Crow told Us, "I didn't hear it. I don't know anything about it."

Despite throwing parties over the weekend, both Crow and Aniston celebrate their actual birthdays today on Feb. 11.

"I'm just going to hang out with my girlfriends during the day and then I'm having dinner with some friends, Crow told Us of her plans. "I may do something crazy like get a massage and a manicure or pedicure. That's about as crazy as it's going to get!"

As for sharing the same birth date with Aniston (and Albert Einstein), Crow previously joked to Us that it "speaks volumes."

What's more, Crow and Aniston's pal, Laura Dern, has a Feb. 10 birth date.

"We're really close. It's nice," Crow told Us. "I think as you get older, you have your tribe of women that you grow and age gracefully with and you share wisdom with. That's your clan. That's your family. That's your strength."

While John Mayer treated Jennifer Aniston to a song for her 40th birthday, Courteney Cox Arquette offered a heartfelt message to her longtime Friend.

"More health and happiness," says Cox Arquette, 44, who revealed the birthday wish at Monday night's Beverly Hills benefit for the Entertainment Industry Foundation's Women's Cancer Fund.

Aniston actual birthday is Wednesday, but she and her pals celebrated Saturday at Aniston's new Beverly Hills house, where Cox Arquette danced the night away with Sheryl Crow, 47, who shares the same Feb. 11 birthday with Aniston.

"I can't remember the last time I did that," Crow told Extra at the benefit, sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue. "So that was a sign of a good party!"

Although Aniston recently fretted about finding a gray hair, close friend Andrea Bendewald tells PEOPLE that Aniston has never been better.

"Happy on the inside, happy on the outside," Bendewald says. "She's always known how to have a good time and really live life to the fullest. I think it's a state of being. It's a state of what you think is what you are."

After an elaborate birthday bash this past weekend, Jennifer Aniston has more surprises in store from best friend Courteney Cox Arquette and daughter Coco.

At last night's Saks Fifth Avenue Unforgettable Evening event, Cox and Gwyneth Paltrow were honored for their contributions to Women's Cancer Research. While dashing down the red carpet, Cox was asked by reporters if she or her daughter with David Arquette had gotten gifts for Aniston's birthday (today!).

"I can't say yet," Cox yelled
as she was whisked into the grand dining room at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Obviously she and little Coco must be sitting on some sweet gifts for 40-year-old Jen, who celebrated the milestone birthday over the weekend with a bash at her Los Angeles home with John Mayer, Cox and Arquette, Sheryl Crow and Tobey Maguire (who attended wwith wife Jen Meyer).

No word on a day-of celebration, though it's possible Aniston could hit her longtime favorite The Sunset Tower Hotel's Tower Bar. Or perhaps she'll host a more intimate celebration, followed up with a little sleepover?

I love Tom Hanks and what lovely words he said last night about Jennifer.
I'm pretty sure, Holly girls, that he was at Jen's party since E said he was, but thanks for the quotes.

Tom Hanks Wishes Jennifer Aniston Happy Birthday
February 11, 2009
by: Ani Esmailian

When you're as popular as Jennifer Aniston, an invitation to your birthday is only extended to a select few.

Aniston's 40th birthday bash this last Saturday may have been the hottest ticket in town, but even some of the biggest names in the industry didn't get a chance to attend.

Hollyscoop caught up with Tom Hanks at the Saks Fifth Avenue "Unforgettable Evening" Benefiting EIF's Women's Cancer Research Fund where Gwyneth Paltrow and Courteney Cox were being honored to get his advice on turning 40.

Hanks said, Life begins at 40. I don't think Jennifer needs any advice from me. I think she is the most lovely woman on the planet. She always has been.

"Sometimes I think the media makes it out to be something else. But I think thats the story they are trying to sell to some magazines. But she is a beautiful person and she always has been. And I wish her a happy b-day, Hanks told Hollyscoop.com exclusively.

Tom has looked the same for the last 15 years, so whatever he's doing is clearly working! Now that Jenn knows how fond of her he is, maybe he'll score an invite to her next birthday.
