Agreed, love the article. And even though we know she's a Democrat and has donated to Obama's campaign, maybe she just feels, as is her democratic right, she doesn't need to publicly endore anyone. I don't know. Great to read some real quotes form her though, instead of "sources".

Some innocent fun to start the weekend. In this article people who worked at the TIFF were asked about their experiences. This is what Debra Goldblatt, president of Rock-it Promotions, called her most memorable moment.

Quote:
"I am 6 months pregnant and really had to go to the washroom. I was doing a pee dance outside of a stall and out walked Jennifer Aniston. Rather embarrassing. Only during TIFF!"

And this is Pierre Jutras, president of Spoke Club, most memorable brush with a celebrity

Quote:
"Having an unforeseen, lengthy conversation with Jennifer Aniston while waiting for the elevator to the club. She is now fully knowledgeable about Toronto weather conditions."

Hey, I'd talk to her about Dutch weather in a heartbeat. Anyway, here is the source: http://www.nationalpost.com/arts/toronto-film-festival/story.html?id=787772

^ Haha. Thanks! I love those random moments. I wonder how that weather conversation came about. :D

Weather convos are the best.

"Isn't it hot out here today?"
"Isn't it crazy? I think it is going to rain..."

Celebitchy has exerpts from Jen's interview with Hello, which will see print on 23rd of september. The texts connecting the quotes is Celebitchy's, not Hello.

Quote:
Jennifer Aniston knows that responding to all the stupid stories the media makes up about her is like picking a wound - it goes away faster if you leave it alone. The 39 year-old actress told Hello! Magazine that there are all sorts of ridiculous tales told about her but that she cant refute them or the media will spin it out of control:

Does the constant focus on your private life ever become a major distraction for you?[Laughs] it can be frustrating because you hear so many ridiculous stories and things which are just plain lies, and you want to go on the record but you cant because it just inflames things more. Im so used to it now I dont pay attention. I just live my life, focus on my work and stick to that plan. I really dont worry about whats written about me. Its part of the business and you learn to move on, enjoy yourself, do some good work. I keep it simple that way.
[From Hello! Magazine, print edition, September 23, 2008]

Aniston spoke in general terms about feeling happy and secure in her life. When we covered another interview she did with Hello! just a month ago, commenter czarina mentioned that Aniston has a Hallmark card way of speaking. That definitely comes through again this time:

With your work in Friends and your film career, youve achieved a level of success that few actors ever experience. Do you feel more secure in life because of that?
I dont think success has anything to do with making me secure in my life. I think my personal, emotional experiences give me the ability to be more secure with who I am. In terms of success, Ive been very blessed but its not what makes you happy. That comes from within, from your friends and from how you live your life and evolve with it.

What do you think are some of the main lessons youve learned about life over the past few years?Thats a big question I think Ive discovered an inner strength I always knew I had but you never know what you can endure until you go through different kinds of experiences. I found that I can deal with whatever the world throws at me, and that gives you a good feeling and perspective on life. I try to be happy and not worry too much about things. I have a good life.

The actress also talked typecasting and peoples expectations of her post-Friends. She has plenty of films coming up, with Management and Marley and Me out later this year, Hes Just Not That Into You out next year, and at least five projects in the works with her new production company through a partnership with Universal. Aniston is not going away and shes going to keep plugging away at it and trying different roles:

Do you feel more comfortable doing romantic comedies like this [Management]?
I enjoy these kinds of stories but Im not fixated on only one kind of film. Sometimes I feel its difficult to break out of what audiences might expect from me because Im identified more with these kinds of films. But its up to me to find the right movies where I can make people accept me playing other kinds of characters.

Talking of which, you have a much more dramatic role coming up in a love story called Traveling, starring opposite Aaron Eckhart. What can you tell us about that?
Its the kind of film thats very liberating for me because you can throw yourself into a completely different kind of character, drawing on different emotions and different parts of yourself.
Even though Im not known for doing very heavy dramatic roles, I like to be able to upset expectations.

I enjoyed Aniston in Friends, she was easily my favorite character, but the films shes done since have sucked. Shes really going to have to step it up if she wants to change the publics perception of the roles she can carry. She may succeed in that through her production company.

Aniston definitely talks in platitudes, but she still sounds sincere to me - like the pep talks are as much for herself as for the public and thats how she gets through the tough times in life. Im a person who can read those Chicken Soup books with a straight face and get something out of them, though. That type of wisdom is trite for a reason.

Just so everyone knows - the last two paragraphs are simply the blogger's snarky opinion of Jennifer, which she's expressed before. Sounds like a good interview, however.

Instead of focusing all attention to the blogger, try reading the interview. Follow Jen's words - "I really dont worry about whats written about me" - and focus on that. Celebitchy is the only blog for now with exerpts. If a more respectable blog publishes them, feel free to post and I will be happy to delete mine. Thank you.

Many of you are too sensitive. Learn to take the good with the bad, nobody amounts to anything when everybody is fawning over them. I would rather have blogs talk about her whether good or bad than just stop all together.

^People are the way they are and it'd be nice if personal attacks are avoided here. Some people can't take any criticism when it comes to their fav actors or people they admire where as there are others who can take constructive criticism and then there is whole bunch who don't let all the snarky comments get to them so there are all kinds different people on this board but calling somone too sensitive when one is already aware of how some react to certain things is quite redundant IMO.

I would rather prefer if they stopped but I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon and I'm including the ones in here that are neutral towards her. They write about her because they know stories or pics about her gives them hits and its as simple as that. It won't affect her career if the blogs out there stopped writing about her..lol!

Anyways thanks for sharing those excerpts Mr.Fish. I lovee reading her interviews and its after a long while that one is getting to see more interviews with her because of the movie. BTW is it from the same interview from which a few other excerpts were posted awhile back or is this new?

Thanks for posting that Mr. Fish! I like the interview, and I guess we can't expect that everyone speaks kindly of everyone else, especially since the name of the site is "Celebitchy." They definitely live up to the "bitchy" part of their name... laayla
